211th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment
Soldiers with Japan's 25th Infantry Regiment, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, conduct military operations in urban terrain as part of Rising Thunder 19 at the Yakima Training Center in Yakima, Wash. Rising Thunder 2019 is an annual exercise joining the U.S. Army and the JGSDF and is part of Pacific Pathways 19-3. Rising Thunder 2019 is also a United States Army Pacific-sponsored capstone event featuring U.S. Army units from the 7th Infantry Division and the Illinois Army National Guard’s 33rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team and 108th Sustainment Brigade. Training out in the field with the M777A2 at Yakima Training Center in Washington. This was when I was with 2-17FA.

Joint Forces Headquarters, Washington National Guard
The 2-146 Field Artillery, 81st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, conducted an artillery raid. M777 Howitzers were towed by CH-47 Chinook helicopters to a field and then fired during xCTC at Yakima Training Center in June 2019.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
A land of hope.!! A true melting pot...a virtual microcosm of the people of the world. All beliefs & thoughts are represented. A country where people longed to come from every corner of the world. Once here they could reach for their dreams. A capitalist society~you earned your own way. Not a hand out~a hand up!! After the great depression of the 1930s & WW2 it became normal to strive for a big house, two cars, a boat & a membership at your local club. In essence to keep up with the Joneses.
Now she exports most of the filth (porno) and Hollywood produces many movies depicting violence & greed. (sex etc). As I understand missionaries around the world can't mention the word America and Christian in the same sentence!!! Why?? The impression is that the two are one and the same. They, the average person in say Egypt or India, think they would have to give up all their morals to become Christians!!!
American is fast becoming a secular~humanistic society. The radical left wing of the Democratic party began systematically removing God from the land years ago. The courts, the schools, legalized killing the unborn etc. Once Obama came into office the secularization of the United States shifted into high gear~implementing the bills & plans they could not get passed before. God has great patience. His grace is far reaching....The USA still leads the world in charity to other nations....A great example of free enterprise & liberty ! Can God's light shine brightly again through her or has the flame gone out ?

Yakima Sportsman State Park / RV Camping
This week our adventure took place at the Yakima Sportsman State Park. It's a great little park to get away and just take it easy. The boys and I enjoyed walking the trails which lead to the Yakima River. The boys really liked the park playground, so much so that they kept wanting to go back each day. The park was full of smooth roadways for the boys to ride their bikes and traffic was minimal. There were plenty of areas to cast your fishing pole and even though we had better luck catching lily pads, the boys enjoyed it.
Outside of the park, I recommend...
1) Yakima Valley Visitor Center - for info on ALL things to do while visiting Yakima.
2) Central Washington Agricultural Museum - FREE (donations welcome), has a playground, restrooms, and a ton of stuff to look at (inside and out).
3) Precision Fruit and Antiques - Neat little store full of antiques and the fruits is amazing (and cost friendly).
4) Any Rest Stop that states View Point.
