Black Bear Attacks Man at Beijing Wildlife Zoo
A Beijing wildlife zoo is making headlines again after a man was attacked by a bear at the Badaling Wildlife Park on Friday.
The man claimed it happened when he and his friend opened the window of their vehicle to feed the bear.
Park visitors are warned not to open their doors or windows while driving through the enclosure area.
Just last month, a bear stopped a car at the Beijing Badaling Wildlife Park, poking its head inside the driver's window looking for food.
Last November, a woman was killed and another severely injured after they got out of their car in park's tiger enclosure.
Website of the Tourism Development Commission of Beijing's Yanqing District on Monday evening released preliminary investigation results of the incident.
The district government instructed the Badaling Safari World, the company that runs the zoo, to set strict limit on the number of private cars in wildlife enclosures, strengthen patrols and notifications of safety rules to visitors, according to the website.

Beijing zoo, where tigers attacked 2 people, has been closed.
A BEIJING wildlife zoo, where a tiger mauled a visitor to death and left another seriously injured, has been closed.
The incident happened on Saturday in the tiger enclosure at the
Badaling Safari World, where visitors can drive in their vehicles, but
they are warned not to get out of the vehicles.
But two of them did not heed the warning, the publicity department of Yanqing District said.
Sources told the Legal Evening News that the car was carrying a
family of four — a middle-aged woman, a young woman, a man and a child.
Reportedly, the young woman had a quarrel with the man, and got out of the car at which point a Siberian tiger pounced on her and dragged her away. The older woman got out of the car and tried to drag her back, but was attacked by another tiger, the paper reported.
The family was rescued when zoo workers rushed to chase off the
tigers. The older woman died on the spot, and the younger one was sent to the hospital but is in serious condition.
This wasn’t the first such case at the zoo. In August 2014, a male worker was killed by a tiger.

Tiger attack on woman
More details emerged on Monday about a 57-year-old woman who was mauled to death after trying to save her daughter from a tiger attack at a wildlife park in Beijing.
The tragedy occurred on Saturday at Badaling Wildlife World, near the Great Wall in suburban Beijing’s Yanqing district. A 13-second surveillance video broadcast by mainland media shows a woman exiting the front passenger door of a white sedan and walking to the driver’s door, where she stands talking to the driver, later confirmed to be her husband. A tiger appears from behind her and drags her off.
The driver gives chase and all three disappear off camera, before he returns to the car where he is joined by another woman from the back seat, and they run in the direction the tiger dragged the first woman. The second woman was confirmed by relatives to be the 57-year-old mother of the woman who was dragged away.
The Yanqing district government later said in a statement that one woman died and another was severely injured in the attack.
The daughter, in her 30s, was raced to hospital where she remained in serious condition after undergoing surgery early on Sunday morning, The Beijing News reported.
The mother, who died at the scene, her daughter, son-in-law and grandson were driving through the wildlife park when the attack happened. A spokeswoman for the district’s afforestation bureau told the News the woman ignored warnings from a nearby patrol vehicle before being attacked by the tiger.
