Japan Trip: Yasaka Shrine famous Gion Matsuri massive float procession, Kyoto069 Moopon
Yasaka Shrine (Yasaka Jinja), also called Gion Shrine, is one of the most famous shrines in Kyoto. The shrine was founded over 1350 years ago at the area between the popular Gion District and Higashiyama District. Due to such location, many tourists walking between the two districts pays a visit to the shrine.
Yasaka Shrine is famous for its summer festival, the Gion Matsuri, which takes placed every July. It is obvious that it is the most famous festival in the whole country. The Gion Matsuri started a thousand years ago and involves a procession with huge floats and hundreds of participants. The shrine also becomes busy during the cherry blossom season around early April, as the neighboring Maruyama Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kyoto.

JAPAN BY TRAIN: Hakodate - Aomori - Hirosaki - Odate - Akita [HD] (01/Jan/2014)
Video footage recorded during my trip all over Japan between December 27th 2013 and January 10th 2014.
This clip includes images of the Hakodate - Aomori - Hirasaki - Odate - Akita journey, with train changes at some stations and under heavy snow storm sometimes. The Hakodate - Aomori line connects the Hokkaido and the Honshu islands through the undersea Seikan tunnel.
Please note that these videos do not intend to show the tourist attractions at the cities I stop at, but the journey itself (particularly the train routes). For castles, monuments or colourful streets I preferred taking photographs... Sorry for that!

Happy New Year from Japan ~
I took short a 5 days winter vacation trip to Hakata, Fukuoka.
It was rather quiet during the New Year season in Japan since many people spend time with their families during this period.
It was my first time experiencing a Japanese New Year.
I tried osechi for the first time, hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year) and ate lots of mochi.
It was lovely.

Japan Vlogs - Nagasaki and Kyoto
▽▽R E A D M E - ALL THE DETAILS ARE IN HERE▽▽ ⤵
As you know by now I spent three weeks travelling around Japan in November last year.
I managed to capture quite a bit of miscellaneous footage during my travels, and so I thought I would make a bit event out of it and host #JapanWeek on my Blog and YouTube channel in order to share a glimpse into my experiences in Japan.
This third video comes to you from the amazing cities of Nagasaki and Kyoto! I didn't really have a clear idea of what I wanted to see or do in Nagasaki, but it turned out to be an absolutely amazing destination and is now easily one of my favourite places in Japan. Kyoto I had a full itinerary for, however it rained for our entire stay, and so my enjoyment of this beautiful city was somewhat soured.
If you like this video please give it a big thumbs up, and if you have any questions about any of the things that we did in this video, or any requests for videos you'd like me to film, just throw these in the comments section down below →

Hiroshima Castle | Day out exploring the city
Hey guys,
were spending the day exploring Hiroshima city but mainly we will be visiting Hiroshima castle. Definitely worth a visit if your in Hiroshima it is one of the more beautiful castles (exterior) in our opinion. Though it is a reconstruction after it was destroyed by the A bomb it still embodies the beauty and history of the original structure.
So come with us as we explore the grounds of this historical site.

Meiji Shrine New Years Eve - Tokyo, Japan
This night was A-meijing. 3 million people flock to this shrine for New Years so we decided to check it out for ourselves. Basically we it was a 2 hour wait, for yen throwing, a drum, charms and snacks.
See why Japan is the king of festivals.
