Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts. Ekaterinburg, Russia
The Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts was established in 1936. Nowadays, it has two branches. One is located in the reconstructed building of the local railway factory's hospital, and the other – in the former house of merchant Bardygin – undergoes reconstruction now.
The museum has collections of the West European Arts of the XIV-XIX centuries, the Russian Arts of the XVII – early XX centuries, Russian avant-garde; the modern naïve art is next to the well-known Urals casting art and jewelry by local artists.
The key masterpiece is the Kasli cast-iron pavilion, which was made for the International Exhibition in Paris in 1900, and which is on the UNESCO list of history and culture monuments. The collection also has works by Russian avant-garde artists Kazimir Malevich, Natalia Nesterova and Mikhail Larionov, Wassily Kandinsky and others.
The museum invites visitors to exhibitions, master classes, musical evenings, concerts, lectures, author tours and artistic meetings.

Yekaterinburg Drone Flight: Yekaterinburg is a city in Russia, east of the Ural Mountains. Its known for the golden-domed Church on the Blood, built in the early 21st century on the site of the 1918 Romanov executions. The Monument to the Founders stands by the banks of the Iset River. Exhibits at the nearby Sverdlovsk Regional Local Lore Museum include the Hall of the Romanovs, with personal items that belonged to the last royal family. The Museum of Stone-Cutting and Jewelry Art History, in a stately 19th-century building, has baroque and rococo pieces. Nearby, the Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts showcases Russian and Western European works. The Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center has a museum with interactive displays and memorabilia from the 1990s. The leafy Literary Quarter is a collection of small museums, such as the Museum of Dolls and Childrens Books, some of which were the homes of noted local writers. Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center (Yekaterinburg, Russia)
Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center is a multi-purpose center that combines socio-cultural, commercial and leisure activities. It follows the design of Ralph Appelbaum Associates (RAA).
ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño is responsible for the museographic implementation of the permanent exhibition dedicated to the figure of Boris Yeltsin as first president of the Russian Federation. The itinerary of the exhibition is symbolically divided into 7 rooms, each one dedicated to a phase in the creation of contemporary Russia, through scenographic recreations that reconstruct key areas of its history (meeting room of the Politburo, a street in Moscow, an apartment, among others). A large number of audiovisual productions and interactives complete the experience in the rooms.
The visit ends with an area called “Freedom Gallery”. This room,
dedicated to the most important achievement of Yeltsin’s government, focuses on the testimonies of personalities and people on the street, and gives all visitors the opportunity to leave their own freedom-related message in the interactive “What Freedom means to Me”.
The Museum has received the European Museum of the Year Award 2016 –in the Kenneth Hudson category– for its “exceptional and daring achievement, challenging common perceptions of museums in society.

Here, the creation of new world was taking place through these functional structures. Here, we can see a living area of different quality. And we can see various social services detached: that's a cafeteria, that's a club, that's a bathhouse, that's a laundry, that's a kindergarten and so on, and so on.

When you remove plaster from the walls, there are wires going through everywhere. Possibly the Chekists' wiretapping (workers) sat here. Like in the famous Soviet poster 'No talking'.

Why some (managing) companies do not want to let us into the Chekists' Town so we can show and tell about it? Because if you look at the ceiling and these old columns, you can see the condition they are in. Professional constructors who followed me through the Chekists' Town said looking at this (ceiling), that for 30-40 years it will be staying. After 50 years, it will collapse.

Here was some sort of dining, sitting room where guests could be received. Or a workplace could be located here. Then a transitional area in this part, here is ventilation, where a kitchen board was, so the place for cooking. And there was a bedroom where a bed or two were and some wardrobe, which could be under these stairs. And indeed, here was everything for living.

Last summer The Museum of Everything trekked across Russia searching for artists for Exhibition #5, the country’s first and largest survey of contemporary, self-taught, non-traditional art.
Our journey started in Yekaterinberg and continued to Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, St Petersburg and Gorky Park in Moscow, where our quest for untrained, undiscovered and unintentional artists continued.
In every city we visited, we met artists and curated a local show featuring their artworks. To see Exhibition #5 in action on the road, check out one of the movies below or visit our blog here.
Exhibition #5 opened on the 26th April 2013 at Garage Center for Contemporary Culture in Gorky Park, Moscow, and featured many of our discoveries, plus an outstanding group of historic self-taught Russian artists.

???? Открытие Музея Миши Брусиловского в Екатеринбурге
???? В Екатеринбурге 7 мая 2017г. состоялось открытие музея всемирно известного художника Миши Брусиловского. В небольшом помещении разместились несколько десятков картин кисти мастера, а также его графика. Все полотна - из личного собрания Евгения Ройзмана, друга Миши Брусиловского. В экспозиции имеются личные вещи и документы Миши Шаевича.

???? Миша Шаевич Брусиловский (1931-2016) - фигура, вошедшая в историю искусств, один из наиболее ярких, своеобразных и талантливых современных живописцев. Так картина 1918-й год, созданная совместно с Г.С.Мосиным в 1962 году, в свое время вызвала огромные резонанс у советских чиновников и публики. Исследователи связывают с данным полотном толчок к развитию неофициального искусства на Урале.
???? Миша Брусиловский - один из самых дорогих российских художников. Произведения заслуженного художника России, почетного академика Российской академии художеств находятся во многих крупнейших музеях и галереях, а также частных коллекциях России, Австрии, Англии, Германии, Израиля, Ирландии, США, Франции и Швейцарии.
???? Вся жизнь Брусиловского связана с Екатеринбургом.
Ещё при жизни художника в 2008 году в Екатеринбурге была установлена скульптурная группа Горожане. Разговор, изображающая знаменитых уральских художников Виталия Воловича, Германа Метелева и Мишу Брусиловского.
Скульптурная группа расположена возле дома художника Миши Брусиловского.
