Yellowstone National Park - WY -June 2017 - Kayak Trip
In continuation of my 12 nights challenge I took a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Which is about a 18 hour drive from Minneapolis.
The weather was around 65º during the day and at night it got down to about 35º. We spent our first night in the Big Horn Mountains just a few hours from Yellowstone.
From there we spent a night in the Bridge Bay Campground off of Lake Yellowstone packing gear. Then we chartered a boat to haul our canoe and two kayaks out to the Promontory in Lake Yellowstone. After we were dropped off we Kayaked an additional few miles in the Southeast Arm.
Spent a night there and then made our way back up to our drop off point for another night and then got picked up by the boat charter.
The waves can get pretty nasty on Lake Yellowstone so we had to be careful and stick to the shore. Overall it was a great trip to experience.

#Yellowstone has long remained in the American imagination as a land little touched by humanity. From the steaming power of erupting geysers, to the thundering might of the Yellowstone River, this magnificent landscape is testament to the power and beauty of Mother Nature.
When European explorers first ventured into these enchanting lands, they returned with stories which most people dismissed as hallucinations. Since then, it has become one of America’s ultimate #adventure #vacation destinations and provides a home for the largest remaining herd of wild bison on the planet. Welcome to Yellowstone, the grandfather of all national parks.
We hope you enjoy watching this #travel #guide as much as we enjoyed making it.

2010 - Yellowstone National Park Trip - Part 1, Wyoming, USA
This video was of a trip to Yellowstone National Park taken in early June, 2010. My friend Jeff and I both flew from two different states and met up to do a 3.5-day back-country hiking adventure. Although we only hiked for two of those days (due to deep snow and weather conditions), we had an awesome time seeing the country side, wildlife, waterfalls and of course, the geyser basins. This video is part one and is an overview of our hike down to Shoshone Lake.

Yellowstone National Park
A day in Yellowstone National Park. July 15, 2013, with my son and my wife. Sure wish I had a week to spend in the park. 1 day was barely enough to drive the perimeter loop of the park, let alone actually see the interior and all it has to offer. Either way it was magnificent. I never thought I would see Yellowstone and now I have video of the experience.
Visit Wyoming (Wyoming Road Trip)
Last fall I went on a road trip through the beautiful state of Wyoming. We went from East to West, trying everything and seeing as much as we could. From watching geysers erupt at Yellowstone national park, to horseback riding, to kayaking in front of the Grand Tetons, to Jackson Hole, to historical museums, we saw it all.
It was definitely one of the most memorable trips I've been on!
