Yingde is located in the north-central region of Guangdong Province. Yingde's black tea has long been well-known worldwide and it is one of the world's four high-flavor black tea. The tea, with its brilliant red color and rich aroma, has been exported to and become very popular in Great Britain. It was the tea that Queen Elizabeth II drank. Besides, Yingde stone has a very high view and collection value, which is listed as the tribute to imperial court since SongDynasty. Yingxi Fenglin (英西峰林) located some 60 km southwest of Yingde city, hosts Guangdong's most dense collection of peaks and forest, Adding a quaint air to the scenery you may find many old and traditional buildings scattered around the area.
廣東英德彭家寨穿天洞及清遠太和古洞 2005 Peng Ancestral Hall & Karst Cave Qingyuan
彭家祠座落明逕螺山山腰，面向西南，依山而建，東北為險要峭壁，山傍臨河，頗有“一夫擋關，萬夫莫開”之勢。史載建於清代中葉，屬防禦性質建築，鄉間稱“寨山古堡”。其建築形式與西藏布達拉宮相近，遊人戲稱“小布達拉宮”。現仍保留完好牆壁雕刻、古老窗花和清鹹豐年間留下的“明義知方”賜匾。每一處的門檻都很高，整個建築群有168級石梯，站在高處可一覽四周的農田和青山，這一帶以前很多土匪山賊，所以連彭大人都要住在山上防賊，在低處設有放哨樓。整個村落依山而建，共分三層，僅北面有一條石階路出入，每層均只有一個小門可通往上層，其餘三面全是懸崖峭壁，凸現了建築的防禦功能。1995年12月被列為縣級文物保護單位。
洞天仙境湯泉旅遊度假區位於廣東省清遠市英德九龍鎮，地處聞名遐邇的“南天第一峰林”清遠英西峰林走廊，是以洞天仙境（原名：穿天岩）景區為依託，後續開發地熱湯泉旅遊資源。作為華南第一天坑，不但具有暗河曲拐，溝壑險峻的地理特徵，而且融山、水、洞、潭、瀑布、天生橋、天坑、綠洲為一體。山中有洞，洞中有水，洞行山絕，空山聞水聲，碧潭衍飛瀑。洞內岩石突兀，聳立如筍，且形象各異。洞天仙境已有億萬年歷史，是具有喀斯特地貌的天然暗河溶岩洞，洞長約300米，高100米，洞內鐘乳石千姿百態。“靈龜獻壽”、“天龍飲水”、“群龍戲珠”、“蓮花寶座”，奇石萬千數之不盡。其中最具代表性的應屬“觀音賜福”，在洞內觀景臺上放眼望去，遠處的岩壁上一尊栩栩如生的觀音像屹立於崖壁上，雙手相托，宛如在為前來參觀遊覽的遊客們賜福保平安，讓人不得不欽佩大自然的鬼斧神工。太和古洞始建於清代鹹豐四年（即1854年），距今已有150多年的歷史，是道教聖地。景區內險峰如削，挺拔摩天；林壑幽深，飛瀑懸崖；石刻棋布，曲澗爭流。嵌在山門上的“太和古洞”四個大字，就是清代光緒年間，中國歷史上最後一位榜眼，清遠人氏朱汝珍所題。
Taiwan: Raohe Night Market [ Stinky Tofu?! ]
So this August I went to Taiwan with my friend Erika and we stayed in Taipei for 6 days! One night we went to Raohe Night Market which was honestly one of the best markets we ate at while in Taiwan. I'm still dreaming about the black pepper meat buns and shaved ice with fruit. Check out this video of us eating some food there! ( and yes we tried stinky tofu...)
