Anniversary of the apology Keeping Place @ Redfern 1
On the eve of the anniversary of the government's apology to the Stolen Generations, a group gathered in Redfern at the shed where Gordon and Elaine Syron house their collection of 1,300 paintings from over 450 different Indigenous artists and 30 years of largely unpublished photographs of Aboriginal history, culture and political struggles.
Aboriginal people from different professions are working tirelessly to try to establish a 'Keeping Place' with this collection as a foundation. Though support for this is trickling in - it is a 'Sorry' state of affairs that Uncle Gordon and Aunty Elaine are left in there without proper support and are at risk of losing all their assets and everything they have worked for.
Rhonda Dixon-Grovenor and Josie Cashman mcs, John Morse speaking, and some of the acts - Richard Green, Joseph dancing to Adam Hill's didge, and the Jannawi Dance Group with Nadeena Dixon singing 'Aboriginal land'.
Filmed by Michelle Blakeney & Amber Wright.

A Sunday trip to Daikoku PA
I took a Car Enthusiast out to Daikoku Futo and see some cool cars!
I recently moved to Japan, and as an avid Motorsports enthusiast i decided that it is HERE, in Japan, that I want to learn the art of drifting.
I bought a JZX100 Chaser and am prepping it to participate in events.
Join me on my adventure in building a car ready for drifting, going out there and shredding tires!
Thanks for watching.

bacc exhibition MAK Artist Interview-Yagi Lyota
YAGI Lyota (b.1980, Ehime) finished his Ph.D. without dissertation from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2012. One of his first major works was Vinyl, where records from ice, cast using a silicone mould, are played on a turntable. The music from the ice record would result in gradual alterations to its sound as its grooves melt away. He has taken part in international exhibitions such as Yokohama Triennale 2011 - OUR MAGIC HOUR (Yokohama Museum of Art, 2011). Recent solo exhibition is Time Parallax (Mujin-to Production, 2013). Other important exhibitions are MOT Annual 2011 — Nearest Faraway (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 2011) and Akio Suzuki / Lyota Yagi (Yokohama Civic Gallery Azamino, 2010). Based in Kyoto, he is also a lecturer in Spatial Design at Kyoto University of Art and Design.
Yokohama Triennale 2011 -- OUR MAGIC HOUR (Yokohama Museum of Art, 2554) ล่าสุดนิทรรศการเดี่ยวคือ Time Parallax (Mujin-to Production, 2556) ส่วนนิทรรศการสำคัญอื่นๆ ได้แก่ MOT Annual 2011 -- Nearest Faraway (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 2554) และ Akio Suzuki / Lyota Yagi (Yokohama Civic Gallery Azamino, 2553) ปัจจุบันอาศัยอยู่ในเกียวโต เป็นอาจารย์พิเศษสอนวิชา Spatial Design ที่มหาวิทยาลัย Kyoto University of Art and Design

“Sacred Evil”☆ Spider Street Show #2, Takeshi Hamanaka- Recycled Art, Art Fair Tokyo 7.31, 2011 011
Artist Statement Sacred Evil
From old, there is a philosophy that complete right or wrong does not exist in Japan. Kishin (Ogre God) might be the good example. Literally, the Kishin is the one that the Ogre and the God united. It shows that a sacred mind and an evil mind stay in any person. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, even in case of being under a serious situation, there were people who controlled their feelings and acted rationally, and were people who acted in selfish like feelings, too. Do you share the limited food by everyone or monopolize it? Such time, whether you will be a human or you will become a hungry ogre brute is up to you.
I drew the Kishin's face in the Red Demon Spider's back with such a thought.
