Yonago Castle Ruins are illuminateted for several days a year. National Historic Sites Yonago Castle Ruins, commanding a fine view of Lake Nakaumi, Sea of Japan, Mount Daisen (Hoki-Fuji). Yonago Castle was originally constructed on the hill known as Minatoyama,located in what is now the central area of Yonago city. The castle was unique and magnificent in that, unlike other castles in Japan, it had two towers, a major one on top of the hill which had five-stories, and a minor four-stories one along side the other. As such, it was referred to as the finest castle in Sanin Area ;however, most of the structure is now gone, and only the remaining stone walls can still remind us of the castle's former glory.

Kaike Onsen Yugetsu Tottori Japan - New Style Ryokan On The Beach
Kaike Onsen is in Yonago City. Kaike Onsen hot spring water is composed of sodium and calcium chloride. The spring produces a water volume of 4,456.5 liters per minute, and thus considered quite abundant. Kaike Onsen is a seaside hot spring area that people flock to in summer to bathe in the sea. Kaike Onsen is well known to be “the birthplace of Japanese triathlons”.
Kaike Yugetsu is not luxurious but sinple and functional. I stayed Deluxe Room with Private Open-Air Bath. Although it is not shown in this video, the best recommendation of this ryokan is the “Infinity open-air bath”. In the open-air bath of front ocean view, horizontal lines and the hot spring bathtub are integrated. you can enjoy the scenery, such as if floating in the sea.
You can eat delicious creative Japanese cuisine.
Yonago area at the foot of mt.Daisen has fresh fish(snow crab,flounder,etc) good beef(Daisen Kuroushi) and chiken(Daisendori), milk(Shirobara-milk), water(Suntory and Coca-Cola Natural water,etc).
Inata-Honten’s sake”-IKU’S-” tastes new, the taste is champagne rather than sake.
Shirobara coffee is exquisite taste.

Kaike Onsen is located in Yonago City, which large ryokans are lined up.
It is a seaside hot-spring resort facing the Sea of Japan.
The coastline with white sand and green pinetrees is very beautiful (100 selected views of Japanese beaches).
The sea is calm in the summer, but the sea is rough in the winter.
Beach in the summer and Matsuba crab (snow crab) cuisine in the winter are famous.
Kaike Onsen hot spring water is composed of sodium and calcium chloride. If you taste this hot spring water you'll find it salty.
The water is considered effective mainly for neuralgia, rheumatism, chronic skin diseases. A recent survey identified a skin purifying effect of the hot spring water.

There are hot spring public baths and private hot spring baths.
I stay in Ocean View Guestroom with Open-air Bath (not hot spring). When I took an open-air bath, there was a sea breeze which was very pleasant.
Yonago is About 75 minutes from Haneda Airport (Tokyo International Airport), about 140 minutes from Shanghai Pudong international Airport and about 185 minutes from Hong Kong International Airport.
