Yonge Dundas Square - Toronto I J&C Toronto
It’s been called Toronto’s answer to NYC’s Times Square and London’s Piccadilly Circus. One thing is for certain, Yonge Dundas Square certainly offers visitors a plethora of stimuli for the senses. From free concerts to food festivals, buskers and beggars, you never know what will be waiting for you on an impromptu visit (especially in the Summer months)!
For those of you that live here in Toronto, don’t dismiss YDS as a tourist trap. There is so much to see on any given day, you will be doing yourself a disservice by NOT visiting!
For those visiting this city, make sure you drop by. It’s not just open for business, but “yours to discover”.

Canada Day is the national day of Canada. A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, coming into force of the Constitution Act, 1867 (then called the British North America Act, 1867), which united the three separate colonies of the Province of Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick into a single Dominion within the British Empire called Canada. Originally called Dominion Day (French: Le Jour de la Confédération), the holiday was renamed in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed. Canada Day celebrations take place throughout the country, as well as in various locations around the world, attended by Canadians living abroad.

Yonge-Dundas Square is a pretty fun (literally, lots of fun concerts and festivals) place in downtown Toronto. In summertime running events nearly non-stop every weekend and more, lots of restaurants and street food nearby, a hot spot shining with electrical ads in the largest Canadian city.

First walk of 2020! - New Year's in downtown Toronto on Yonge St [4K]
This new year's 2020 4K walk on along Yonge Street in downtown Toronto starts just minutes after midnight January 1st. I start out on Richmond Street where I walk over to Yonge Street and from there it's north to Bloor-Yonge Station. I did record a walk just before this from King and Bathurst over to City Hall but as luck would have I didn't notice that my camera cut out just before the New Year's Countdown. So rather than upload a failed video I decided to record this one and start the new year off on a better note. I plan on continuing to upload a lot of walks from around Toronto and wherever else I'm able to travel to this year so just a friendly reminder to subscribe to the channel if you don't want to miss out. Thanks for watching and I wish you all the best in the year!
