Deejay, Songwriter and Record Producer, Lawrence John hosts random street auditions outside Castle Court Shopping Mall, Belfast, in the run up to the launch of BELFAST HAS TALENT, a £5,000 Search For Singers.
Regular auditions for BHT, take place every week at The 5 O'Clock Lounge, beside the Movie House, Cityside Mall, (Yorkgate) Belfast.

NVTV, Belfast's local television service, will be featuring BHT in their autumn/winter schedule 2011, details available on the NVTV website,

Every contestant has their audition posted on YouTube along with their name and a text number which allows the general public to vote for the contestant of their choice..
No judges, no favouritism, no bias, it's the public who choose the winner.
Initial auditions are accapella, although singer musicians are allowed to accompany themselves on guitar or keyboards etc.
Contestants must be at least 15 years or over, with no upper age limit.
Simon Cowell has neglected Belfast in recent years, so this is an opportunity to show that Belfast really does have talent and that Janet Devlin is just the tip of the iceberg.

We went to an urban axe throwing class
Whistle Punks are hosting urban axe throwing classes in London, Manchester, and Birmingham.
Each session lasts 1.5 hours. Instructors teach you how to sling a 14-inch axe at a wooden target, which you can either throw with one hand or a two.
Each lane is enclosed to make it safe for throwers. Alcoholic drinks, as well as open-toed shoes, are not allowed.
Whistle Punks will soon launch an Urban Axe Throwing league.
