he Yorkshire Wildlife Park, commonly referred to as YWP, is a wildlife park located just outside Doncaster, South Yorkshire, in England. Yorkshire Wildlife Park was built on the site of Brockholes Farm Visitor Centre, which closed to the public in November 2008. Yorkshire Wildlife Park prides itself on being 'The UK's Number 1 Walkthrough Wildlife Adventure'.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA). The Yorkshire Wildlife Park was built on land formerly occupied by the 260-acre (110 ha) Brockholes Farm Visitor Centre, and currently occupies about 100 acres (40 ha) of the site.
In July 2014, the Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened a large enclosure for polar bears, named Project Polar, with the first bear being 500 kg male Victor; a second arrived in March 2015 called Pixel, who is Victor's grandson. On 15 April 2015, Yorkshire Wildlife Park announced that one of its Amur tigers had given birth to three cubs on 29 March 2015. A video of the birth was released on the park's official Facebook and Twitter page.

We went back to complete our mission of seeing the new Brown Bears at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and we did it!
It was only a little glimpse of one of them but they've been through absolute hell before YWP rescued them! So it's understandable they're a little tentative in their new surroundings.

Doncaster, is a large market town in South Yorkshire, England. Together with its surrounding suburbs and settlements, the town forms part of the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster . The Doncaster skyline is dominated by the minster in the middle of the town. The Frenchgate Shopping Centre holds an important position in the skyline, along with the Doncaster College Hub building and Cusworth Hall. Cusworth Hall is an 18th-century Grade I listed country house in Cusworth, near Doncaster. Set in the landscaped parklands of Cusworth Park, Cusworth Hall is a good example of a Georgian country house.
Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Doncaster is about 20 miles (30 km) from Sheffield, with which it is served jointly by an international airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield in Finningley. The Doncaster Urban Area includes Doncaster and the neighbouring small village of Bentley as well as some other villages.
Doncaster sits on the European Route E15 and is the starting point of European Route E13. The E13 connects Doncaster, Sheffield, Nottingham to London. Doncaster is a European hub with a new international airport, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield opened in 2005. Doncaster International Railport facilities link to the Channel Tunnel.
From around the 16th century, Doncaster embraced the wealthy stagecoach trade. This led to horse breeding in Doncaster, which in turn led to the start of horseraces there. Recent leisure developments include a new community sports stadium for sports teams including the towns men's football club, Doncaster Rovers F.C.

Sandall Park is a park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Sandall Park covers 69 acres and is located in Wheatley and is the one of the biggest leisure parks in Doncaster.
Before 1841 the land was the site of a brick works and the lake is a result of the extraction of clay from the area. Sandall Park was 1940 before the park was officially opened as a park.
Sandall Park plays host to 3 football pitches, 1 fishing lake which prior to 1980s the lake had small boats for park users to use hence the park is known locally as the 'Boating Lake' which is now used for angling. There is also a smaller pond named 'the bog pond'.
The Friends of Sandall Park is a registered charity formed in 2003 which is committed to the promotion, support, assistance and regeneration of the park. In 2011 the group won the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. The award which is the equivalent to an MBE and is the highest award that can be made to a voluntary group

The tigers and other exotic animal residents at Yorkshire Wildlife Park today joined The National Lottery in its hunt for a missing EuroMillions winner from Doncaster!
A £197,954.50 EuroMillions prize remains unclaimed in the town and the winner has just one week left to claim this amazing sum of money.
The missing EuroMillions ticket is from the draw on 28 October 2016 and the winning numbers on that date were 10, 16, 19, 23, 43 with Lucky Star numbers 2 and 8. The lucky winner matched the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers but only has until 26 April 2017 to make their claim.1
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “This is a life-changing sum of money sitting and waiting to be collected by a lucky player who bought their EuroMillions ticket in the Doncaster area.
“We are delighted to have the support of Yorkshire Wildlife Park and, in particular, the Park’s tigers and meerkats. Together with its surrounding suburbs and settlements, the town forms part of the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster, which had a mid-2018 est. population of 310,542. The town itself has a population of 109,805 The Doncaster Urban Area had a population of 158,141 in 2011[4] and includes Doncaster and neighbouring small villages. Part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974, Doncaster is about 17 miles (30 km) north-east of Sheffield, with which it is served by an international airport, Doncaster Sheffield Airport in Finningley.
