Uniplaces Scholarship Application 2015
This is my application video for the uniplaces scholarship. It shows 12 out of 80 international students I took care of last semester during my voluntary work as Erasmus Responsible in the university group AEGEE which I am still in charge of. I asked them to make short videos in which they say what their semester in Passau meant for them and how I helped them during their stay in Germany.
I don't get any money or credit for what I am doing at that voluntary work but it is my passion to help those students and everytime I see the video I get emotional as they mean a lot to me and they found so kind words for me :)
The new group is already in Passau (250 Erasmus students and further international students). I started the programme for this semester and we had a lot of fun together already.
I hope to win one of the scholarships as I really love this work and it would be a great reward for me :)

Em- (on the phone with Edward) Hey dude I was wondering if you wanted to get a smoke in during your break?
Ed- No man. I'm done with that.
Em- (laughs) You were actually serious when you told Bella you would quit?
Ed- Yes. It's not funny either. Smoking has serious consequences and I don't think you should do it anymore. I'm sorry I got you into it in the first place.
Em- Whatever. That's not gonna happen to me.
Ed- I wouldn't take my chances
Em- Alright if you're gonna be a little bitch about this I'm done talking to you
Ed- I'm being a grown up. What about Rose? What about your kids?
Em- I'm a grown ass man. Rose can't control me. And the kids don't know
Ed- Bella isn't controlling me. I just don't like seeing someone who I love and care about upset. And I meant your kids rarely see you anymore cause you're always out smoking
Em- Rose doesn't know so she isn't upset and they think it's work
Ed- God Emmett! Wake up and realize how immature you're being!
Em- (hangs up) What an ass (drives to the store to get cigarettes)
**with the girls at the store (it still isn't open) all the kids are at school**
Ali-(measuring fabric in the back room)
Bel- (painting the walls)
Rose- So Bells how's Edward?
Bel- (sighs) I don't know. I'm really proud that he told me but I just hope he sticks to quitting.
Ali- He seemed pretty serious about it.
Bel- That's what I'm hoping for
Ali- So Rose how about you?
Rose- A little better after last night. We talked about our fight and I think he is gonna look into a new station since he is still so stressed about this one. I was thinking about giving him a surprise to make him feel better.
Ali- Surprise?
Rose- (smirks) You don't wanna know
Bel- Ew. But what about the kids?
Rose- It will be after they go to bed and we will lock the door just in case.
Ali- Alrighty then. Hey can one of you run to the store and get scissors cause these suck and some new pencils to draw designs? We are all out.
Rose- I'll go. (grabs her keys) I'll be back.
**with Emmett**
Em- (walks in goes to the cigarettes)
Cashier- Hey Emmett. The usual?
Em- Yes, but can you make it two packs?
Cash- Sure thing. (gets two and puts them on the counter)
**with Rose**
Rose- (parks her car) Is that Emmett's car? (confused goes in the store)
Em- $22.45? (looks at Cashier)
Rose- (hears his voice turns in that direction gasps) Emmett?
Em- (turns his head mumbles) shit. Rose it's not what it looks like (puts his arm over the packs)
Rose-(walks towards him) Really then what is it?
Em- I was um buying a lighter for um our house for candles and stuff.
Rose- Lift up your arm.
Em- I can't do that.
Rose- (glares at him moves his arm herself sees the cigarettes tears form) I trusted you (turns away and walks out the door)
Em- (to the cashier) never mind. (runs to Rose grabs her arm spins her around) Baby please-
Rose- (rips her arm away from him) Don't touch me! You promised you didn't smoke! You lied to me and you lied to your kids! (turns back around reaches her car opens the door)
Em- (follows her shuts her door and puts his hands on the car Rose is in between them) Please just listen to me
Rose- No! (tears fall) I'm tired of it. Tired of your lies, tired of your excuses, and tired of everything. When is enough enough?
Em- I'm sorry Rose. (feels bad) Just please think this through
Rose- No you've proven my point too many times now. I needed you! Your kids needed you! We all needed you! But you were too busy smoking and didn't bother to show up! Savannah has been there for Zack and Emma more than you! She's 11! (tries to open her door)
Em- (keeps it shut) Will you just hear me out?
Rose- (gives up on the door puts her hands on her head) I don't want to. I think we need break or something cause right now I can't even stand to look at you. Will you please let me go?
Em- Rose-
Rose- Please? (looks him in the eye still crying)
Em- (sighs removes his hands from the door)
Rose- (gets in and drives off to the store)
Em- (sulks back to his car gets in punches the steering wheel) Dammit Emmett! Why do you screw everything up! (holding back tears)
