One of the experiences I really wanted to have when I visit the Quintana Roo state of Mexico, was to learn about, cook, and eat authentic ancient Mayan food. So we rented a van, and drove over to the small jungle Mayan village of Chunhuhub, to meet up with Kíichpam K'áax ( who are aiming to preserve their Mayan culture.
It was about a 3.5 hour drive to get to Chunhuhub from Playa Del Carmen, so by the time we arrived we were all pretty hungry. We walked through the milpa (Mesoamerican crop growing system), and finally to the kitchen within the jungle of the property.
They were already busy cooking, preparing a few traditional Mayan foods, like a variety of tamales and cochinita pibil. They prepared everything to be cooked in the pib, the ancient Mayan traditional way of cooking - an underground hot rock oven (there are many cultures around the world who have used or still use a similar underground cooking technique).
Tok-sel - One of the most fascinating dishes they cooked was white beans, and they took a hot rock out of the fire, stuck it into the pan with the beans, and roasted them with the rock. It was incredible to see, and the beans had an incredible ummai flavor to them. They were delicious especially when paired with freshly made corn tortillas.
Achiote (annatto) - An interesting ingredients, used commonly in Mayan food and cooking, is achiote, a pod filled with red / orange fruit. It has a slight pepper and lemony taste, and also makes everything that uses it, bright orange.
Cochinita pibil - One of the main ingredients in cochinita pibil is achiote. They had pre-marinated it, and it cooked underground as well. The flavor of the pork was amazing, and with tortillas, onions, and salsa, it was truly support.
We had a number of different tamales as well, all of which were totally different from any tamales I’ve ever had. They were hearty and packed full of corn and beans, and very filling. They were a little on the dry side, but I fully enjoyed learning about them, and watching them being made. The different leaves, including the hoja santa, was great to learn about.
Special thanks to Centro Ecoturistico Kíichpam K'áax ( for putting everything together. They have an eco lodge and offer various off the beaten path activities like this.

FRIDA KAHLO La Casa Azul [+ Tlacoyos Street Food] Coyoacán Mexico City 2019
Visiting the MUST SEE Frida Kahlo La Casa Azul museum and exploring Mercados in gorgeous Coyoacán Mexico City, plus a tlacoyos street food tasting.
The Frida Kahlo museum is a must where you can visit the house she has lived in her entire life when in Mexico. You can even see her studio and the bed she died in.
The museum is located in the neighborhood of Coyoacán in Mexico City, one of the prettiest areas. Take time to explore the streets, plazas, the Mercado Coyoacán and Artesanal (just crappy tourists stuff but worth a quick look.
Time for a Mexican street food taste test with Tlacoyos. They are torpedo-shaped, they are fatter than fresh corn tortillas and stuffed with cooked ground beans, cheese, fava beans, chicharron or other ingredients and fried or toasted.
Do take time to find the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception (Capilla de la Inmaculada Concepción), nicknamed la Conchita because of the shell patterns. It is the first catholic church in Mexico, dating to about 1529.
The main square is the Plaza Hidalgo and there is always lots happening here. Listen to the organilleros (organ grinders), check out some famous cantinas, and shop at the stalls.

Thai, Massage, Cocktail
Ride your bikes every where in Playa del Carmen. This town has many delicious restaurants and activities to see and do. We found a Thai restaurant called Easy To Go on 10th Avenue between 14th & 16th Streets | No. 254, Playa del Carmen. The food was very fresh and tasty* Afterwards we had a very relaxing 70 minutes couples massage for only $20.00 by the beach near the ferry. We then finished the evening sharing a shrimp cocktail with octopus. Yummy!!

Puerto Vallarta Malecón Part 3 - Nightlife and Food
In part 3, we are walking along the Malecón in the evening. This beautiful pedestrian only area offers great views of the ocean and the sunset, wonderful food, shopping, and impromptu shows ranging from mimes to painters to singers and dancers. The food stands in the evening offer everything from made to order crepes to corn dogs and cups of fresh cooked corn. There are games for children as well as live painting, singing and dancing.
If you haven't already guessed it, this is a FREE attraction that is not to be missed when visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Whether you walk, or take a bus for only $7.5 (pesos) or about 50 cents in USD, it will definitely be money well spent.
In parts 1 and 2 we are exploring during the day when the boardwalk is a bit quieter, but also a great time to visit.

Video notes:
1) Counter 3. FIVE. VII. A bit of an awkward name (it's supposed to represent the 3, 5 and 7 course tasting menus that are available) but that was just about the only thing that was awkward about the meal. We had a secret $30, 3 course happy hour meal that was absolute delight. Rarely do we have creativity, technical execution and delicious taste (along well crafted cocktails and warm customer service) come together for $30.
2) Amy's Ice Cream - serving creamy, interesting flavored ice cream for over 33 years. Even though it has some rad flavors, I still found myself loving their Mexican Vanilla flavor. You can mix and match all sorts of toppings for tons of texture and flavor combinations. They even had a Jiggypuff flavor during the Pokemon Go craze!
3) Home Slice Pizza. Wow - what? This is a drunk person's dream. Since the restaurant is so busy, you can walk up to the window and order a fresh slice from the street. They serve New York style pizza that actually tastes like it's from New York: its has an exceptional crust that's light and airy with delicious tomato sauce and toppings.
4) Tom's Roasting Company. Very cute location with art and furniture that will make any selfie lover salivate. The coffee options are really creative. Although it wasn't the best coffee I ever had, it was solid and the in your friend's backyard decor and environment more than made up for it. It felt like a little oasis in the middle of the city.
5) Franklin's BBQ: the classic. The legend. The line! This is one of the most famous BBQ places in Austin (if not Texas, and therefore the world). I would recommend coming here either very early in the morning or come at an off time like a weekday during late opening hours (1PM or so). You may run into some meats being out, but it sure beats a 2-3 hour wait time (this is the average wait during peak hours). Was it worth it? Watch the video and see :)

Asian Travel - Monivong Blvd In The Evening - July 2015
Phnom Penh streets become more and more busy nowadays as many cars and motorbikes and other transportation means are imported and more middle class population increased.
Some Phnom Penh Attractions
Wat Phnom (Wat Phnom Daun Penh)
Wat Phnom, the namesake and symbol of the capital city of Phnom Penh, sets prominently atop an artificial 27 meter hill (or 'Phnom') in the northeastern section of the city. Legend has it that Daun Penh, a wealthy widow, retrieved a large koki tree trunk from the river. She had hoped to use it for a house, but inside a hollow of the trunk, she found four statues of the Buddha. She then ordered for a section of her property to be elevated for a small shrine to be erected to revere the statues. This became a sacred site and people started to settle around the hill; eventually, this became the city it now is. It is here that the city gets its name: ‘Phnom’ means hill in Khmer and ‘Penh’ is of course the name of the lady.
Royal Palace
The Royal Palace of Cambodia is a complex of buildings, even though it is generally understood to be the royal abode of the King of Cambodia. The compound was the citadel of King Ponhea Yat (1393-1463) and rebuilt to its present state in 1886, when King Norodom (1834-1904) relocated the royal capital from Oudong to Phnom Penh. The buildings with beautiful towering spires are a great example of classic Khmer architecture found in Cambodia today.
Along with numerous other interesting buildings, within the 183,135 square meters (421m x 435m) compound is The Khemarin Palace, also known as Prasat Khemarin or the Palace of the Khmer King. This is officially the residence of His Majesty, King Norodom Sihamoni.
Silver Pagoda
The Silver Pagoda, also known as the Preah Vihear Preah Keo Morokat (the Emerald Pagoda) to Cambodians, lies within the grounds of the Royal Palace, which is situated near the banks of the Mighty Mekong.
Originally a wooden structure, the palace was initially constructed in 1892 during the reign of King Norodom, but rebuilt to its present grandeur by King Norodom Sihanouk in 1962. The king spared no effort to make this a true embodiment of brilliant Khmer art. More than 5300 pcs of 1.125 kilo silver tiles are used to cover the floor of the Silver Pagoda, and the silver pieces collectively weigh over six tons.
National Museum
The National Museum of Cambodia in Phnom Penh is the country’s leading historical and archaeological museum. It was officially inaugurated by King Sisowat in 1920.
Independence Monument (Vimean Ekareach)
Independence Monument (Vimean Ekareach) built in 1958 as a memorial to Cambodia's war dead and to celebrate independence from foreign rule, the monument stands majestically on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city. It is designed by the influential Cambodian modern architect Vann Molyvann in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa in the same style seen at the great Khmer temple at Angkor Wat and other Khmer historical sites.
Phsar Thmey (Central Market)
Phsar Thmey, also known as Central Market, is a unique colonial style building constructed in 1937. The location where the Central Market now sits was once a swamp area and occupied by a lake known as Beng Decho. Today, this beautiful market has become a prominent landmark in Phnom Penh. In the Khmer language, Phsar Thmey literally means ‘New Market’.

Unexplained World Largest Alien Pyramid In UFO Base In California - Bigger Than Egyptian
World Largest Alien Pyramid With Extraterrestrial UFO Base In California - Bigger Than Egyptian
This amazing video is different because you can verify all mind blowing facts not lifting from the spot you are sitting at. January 26, 1951 USS Independence giant 650 feet long aircraft carrier - nicknamed “The Mighty One” - was nuked and sunk 50 miles south west of San Francisco. In 1970 NAVY dumped 48,000 radioactive barrels on top of it, killing all marine life from Farallon Islands to Half Moon bay. Nuke and dump radioactive carrier near populated California coast seemed the dumbest decision US Navy ever made. But in truth - they were trying to eradicate ancient alien base near California shore.
Locals were constantly finding strange and unexplainable things on the beaches of central California. The most curious were multiple 24 Karat solid gold bars about 5 ounce weight each with Egyptian like inscriptions found by 2 different people washed ashore. It is not possible to tell when they were made because carbon dating is only good for organic materials but not good for metals, but judging by their condition they were underwater for centuries long before first Europeans colonized California. You might remember the story published earlier this year of a Nordic looking woman found ashore in strange gold clothes who was found on Central California same shore. Her dress was made by nano gold tread unseen on earth. She could not remember anything of her past and spoke a strange dialect of Coptic language. After researching these weird findings on Central California shore Kryan channel traveled to the central California coast - only to find out that it was sealed from the public and the strange lights coming out of it at night. You can easily verify those lights coming from the shallow ocean water - they shown on Google earth as well as leaked National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The waters were guarded by several coast guards boats. And the entire beach was covered in fog in a sunny day. We talked to coast guard service officers and they told us they are here every day not to let anyone to pass beyond the fog and they are also not allowed to travel beyond the fog because of its US NAVY jurisdiction but not California coast guard. One of them said that recent California storms exposed something on the beach that should have remained hidden. Undeterred, we hired the small subs with divers and what we found underwater was incredible.
As incredible as our underwater findings were, they paled in comparison of what we found on the shore. Once we step on the shore, the first thing that shocked us was fog in the middle of California sunny day. And miles and miles of beautiful California beach was empty without a single soul on it. Soon, we realized that the many miles of the beach was fenced by NAVY and National Forest Service with multiple lines of fences with clear warnings against entering the area. Some man made strange concrete blocks were scattered on the shore with huge 12 feet or 4 meters in diameter pipes coming underground. Then we saw it! It was giant step pyramid coming out of the cliff. The exposed part was at least twice as big as Egyptian pyramids or Mayan pyramids. But you can clearly tell that part was exposed after the landslide of the recent storm and the bulk of it still hidden in the cliff. You also can see that its bottom was in rubble but the main step slop was mostly intact. It must be built at least several millennia ago and larger than any known pyramid. This year water level had receded exposing other incredible structures of the ancient alien base. Only 20,000 years ago California shore was over 20 miles or 30 kilometers stretching into the ocean. After ice age was over, water reclaimed over 20 miles of land submerging these structures. This year because of California coastal landslides after heavy rains and storms, submerged coast was exposed and Pacific ocean retreated a few meters exposing those incredible ancient alien structures. I told you not to take my word for it but to check updated Google earth California submerged floor with other pyramids and entire sunken cities and alien bases - what you will find there is incredible and simply beyond believe. Entire history as we know it should be rewritten and changed. Whoever built those pyramids and cities: aliens, Maya civilization, Clovis people were in central California millennia before scientists told you that primitive Indians arrived from Siberia and eventually made it's way to California to built hay houses with primitive tools. Those magnificent sunken cities dwarf everything we saw in Egypt, Peru and China. And instead of placing Coastal Guards and NAVY to hide them they should be made World National treasure, unless of course, they were really built by aliens and government is so afraid that truth will come out.
