Zen Diving Tulum
Zen Diving is a small and personal dive center, associated with TDI SDI, located in Tulum, the heart of the Riviera Maya in Mexico.
We dive with passion and want to transmit our love for those beautiful Cenotes and caves. Dive into million years of geological evolution, into the best museum in the world and witness one of the most unique and magnificent scenery you've ever seen. We're still on the same planet but in a complete different world!
Situated in a nice, relaxing and very charming hotel (Don Diego de la Selva), Zen Diving organises tailored made diving holidays for you to discover the mayan underworld in the best way possible. We only do small and private groups, usually speaking the same language and with the same amount of experience for a better personal attention to everyone's need and a perfect comprehension of the dive briefings and instructions.
From beginner open water divers to full cave divers, Zen Diving adapts to every level and will teach you the best way we can to make you a better, more aware, safe and knowledgeable diver.
We also have a strong passion for underwater photography and can take really cool and interesting underwater photos while you're discovering the Cenotes.
Welcome to the newest platform between recreational open water and the exciting world of technical diving where possibilities, skills and knowledge are limitless. Learn in a safe, comfortable and constructive environment and be ready for great new adventures with great and fun instructors.

DOS OJOS CENOTE SCUBA DIVING IN TULUM MEXICO
Dos Ojos Cenote is a magical place for scuba diving just outside of Tulum. It's one of the many Cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula, and has a reputation for beautiful diving and snorkeling. Mexico is an incredible country and the entire Riviera Maya has so many unique and amazing dive sites. If you're not certified you're missing out. Half of the appeal of this part of the world is Underwater!
Tulum is not too far from Cancun or Playa del Carmen, you can take a collectivo (a local taxi van) for very cheap to travel along the coast. Once you're there, you can see a lot around the town, and there are several cenotes to visit. Taxi's aren't too bad once your there, and there are a lot of dive shops that will take you to the cenotes. I went with Infinity2diving, their info is a little bit lower on the list!
I arrived here with the expectation of getting my Cave Diving certification, it turns out there is a type of diving called Cavern Diving. This means you never leave the guide line, and you always are able to see ambient light. This was enough for me, as on several of these dives we were well underground, with only a faint glow in the distance of sunlight. You have to be an advanced scuba diver to be allowed to participate in this type of dive. I highly recommend you get certified that high!

THE PIT CENOTE: DEEP CAVE SCUBA DIVING IN TULUM
This is a cool scuba dive. The Pit Cenote, or El Pit is one of the many amazing things to see near Tulum. The Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico is like a giant ant colony of Cenotes, underground rivers, and sink holes. It's a diving and snorkeling playground, and you could spend weeks here just seeing the sights underwater. While there are hundreds of cenotes scattered across Yucatan and Quintana Roo, this particular hole cuts deeper into the ground than most. It's called The Pit for a reason, and for myself, it was my very first Cavern Dive.
I arrived here with the expectation of getting my Cave Diving certification, it turns out there is a type of diving called Cavern Diving. This means you never leave the guide line, and you always are able to see ambient light. Akumal Monkey Sanctuary, Tulum
It was a magical monkey experience in Tulum at the Akumal Monkey Sanctuary.
Spent the afternoon with three sweet squirrel monkeys, one boy and two girls named Nana, Telma and Bodoque.
Before entering the enclosure we were asked to cover our shoulders and wash our hands and arms to ensure the animals were not exposed to any of the sunscreen or bug spray we had applied earlier in the day (yes, both are essential when visiting Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula in June).
The sanctuary was built three years ago and is home to about 80-90 monkeys. Various species live there including Golden-Headed Lion Tamarins, Cotton-Headed Tamarins, Spider Monkeys and White-Tufted-Ear Marmosets.
