Taiwan Vlogs: ZhongShan Shopping | DENYSIAYU | EPISODE 28
Hey guys! Join me as I navigate through Taiwan!
On today's menu:
This was one of the few days where I was actually able to go out and explore by myself, and although I didn't really film that much, because I didn't want to spoil the only day that I got to go out and do things that normally I would never get to do, I tried to vlog for you guys! So basically the first place I had to go to was the American Consulate. My aunt had taken me there a couple of nights ago, but it was so dark, that I couldn't get good shots of the building.
Here's a link for those of you who want to check out SPOT Taipei, that's what the movie theater/consulate is called:

Taipei's Liaoning Street Night Market / 遼寧夜市
Liaoning Street Night Market / 遼寧夜市 is located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, close to Nanjing E. Road MRT Station. Though the night market is very small, it only covers 200 meters on Laioning Street. The market has a very large selection of fresh, dried, pan fried and deep fried seafood. They also serve goose with rice, sautéed shrimp with hot sauce, fish-flavored eggplants and many other interesting dishes. There are also excellent - unhealthy-yet-scrumptious - fried rice and noodles.

Best Seafood in Taipei Fish Market & Addiction Aquatic Development 上引水產 Taiwan - vlog #044 part 1
It's day two for me in Taipei and today we'll be using the local transportation in order to get some fresh seafood at Taipei Fish Market & Addiction Aquatic Development 上引水產. I've been to Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Noryangjin & Garak Fish Market in Seoul, and when I heard Taipei had their own, I definitely had to pay a visit. There are two sides I believe to the market and one side is the Addiction Aquatic Development and the other side is the Taipei Fish Market. Before you decide to head here make sure you have cash, because I believe it is cash only unless things have changed at the Addiction Aquatic Development in Taiwan.
You'll primarily be on the left side of the market and once entering you will immediately see the huge tanks full of live seafood. You can purchase these and I think you might also be able to ask them to cook the seafood for you as well. As you make your way through the fish market there will be tons of stations that you can visit where you can buy vegetables, fruits, seafood, and sushi. You can also go to the Seafood Bar and Sushi Bar and other sections to get a spot to eat at one of their standing tables.
I tried a few things at the market and one of the things that I wanted to try was the Taiwanese Crab, however I wasn't a huge fan of it. I grew up eating blue crab so my palate prefers the sweetness of the blue crab over this. I also tried a few pieces of sashimi, nigiri, and also some prawns. The fish quality for my sashimi and nigiri was really good and tasted delicious. On top of it, the portion sizes are quite large. The prices here are really reasonable for sashimi and maybe on the cheaper side when comparing it back to the U.S. If you're looking for the best seafood in Taipei, you need to come here and taste their delicious seafood. If you're not a fan of seafood, no worries there are a bunch of meat dishes and some vegetarian dishes as well at the other counters.
After you finish eating your meal, I'll explore the other side of the market. Outside in the middle is a sit down restaurant where you can order food I believe and on the right side of the market is frozen seafood shop. As a tourist you probably wouldn't buy much there, so I recommend you just staying mostly on the left side of the market. If you're wondering what to do in Taipei or where to eat in Taipei, hopeful this might make it to your list as a must try in Taipei when you visit!

Taipei Main Station Ultimate Guide-Taipei, Taiwan
Need to book a hotel for Taipei or anywhere else? Using this link to book your hotel with Agoda will give you the same price great price and help us out with a small commission:
Taipei Main Station can be extremely confusing to anyone including long time residents. I've tried to keep instructions on how to navigate the huge complex simple and if you follow the advice I give, mainly just using the signs above you for directions you shouldn't have too much difficulty getting around. I focused on the Taipei Main Station building where you'll find places to eat, shop, buy train tickets, the Airport MRT, the bus station located at the East Side of the main building, and the other MRT lines. If you are wanting to travel by bus to other parts of Taiwan including the Eastcoast, Central, and Southern Taiwan, then you'll need to go to Q Square where buses serve these regions of the island.
If you want to learn more about the Taipei Metro system and the Taoyuan Airport MRT then watch these videos:
