Den Blå Planet (La planète bleue), un aquarium géant s’étendant sur une superficie totale d’exposition de 15.000 m2, tant intérieure qu’extérieure. Il contient 70 réservoirs totalisant 7 millions de litres d’eau qui recréent l’environnement de près de 500 espèces différentes d’espèces aquatiques, allant des requins marteau et des raies mantas visibles depuis un tunnel-promenade, aux colonies de lions de mer et des oiseaux marins des îles Feroë, jusqu’à un récif de corail peuplé de créatures multicolores.
Il met également en vedette les habitants d'eau douce des zones de forêt tropicale comme les anacondas, les crocodiles nains et les piranhas et fait découvrir les mystérieux poissons aveugles qui peuplent les profondeurs des grottes.
L'aquarium ambitionne de devenir une des 5 attractions majeures du pays. Le bâtiment, à l'architecture audacieuse, se présente comme une construction futuriste en spirale de nautile, où forme et contenu se fondent dans un grand tourbillon destiné à aspirer les visiteurs.

The heart of a Wales and its skeleton leave me speechless. In the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen, the state natural history museum, one experiences a time travel of the animal world of Denmark. Copenhagen Zoo 4K - Copenhagen - Discover Denmark - April 2017
Copenhagen Zoo is located next to Søndermarken, a beautiful park to spend time in. The availability of parking spaces is poor and public transportation is recommended when visiting the Zoo.
Copenhagen Zoo is a great place to experience if you are in Copenhagen. Entrance cost 180 DKK for an adult and 100 DKK for a child. Tickets can be bought at the entrance or online, if you wish to save time.
It’s allowed to bring your own food and drinks, but the Zoo also provides several venues for purchasing food, albeit this quickly becomes a costly affair.
Before leaving the Zoo, it is possible to purchase souvenirs such a teddy bears and t-shirts at the shop near the exit.

Som led i et forskningsprojekt på Zoologisk Museum har Den Blå Planet fået besøg af en række korthalede nursehajer. De er særligt interessante fordi de er den nærmeste nulevende slægtning til hvalhajen.

A wolf chills out in the enclosures pond at the Copenhagen Zoo in Denmark. In February 2014 three new Gray Wolves will be moving to the Copenhagen Zoo. The wolves are from the Bern Zoo in Switzerland. The wolves who are now only 10 months old will be moving to the newly renovated enclosure called Norden (The North). In Danish the name for a wolf is ulv and many wolves are ulve. The Latin name for the wolf is Canis lupus. The wolf is the direct ancestor of all dog races found today. This animal lives between 12 and 15 years.The Danish name for the Copenhagen Zoo is Københavns Zoo (Zoologisk have i København). The Copenhagen Zoo has been in the spotlight recently because of the euthanization of the giraffe named Marius.
