FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF VIETNAM: HANOI'S OLD QUARTER IS CRAZY! (Vietnam Vlog)
The Old Quarter of Vietnam's capital is South East Asia at its most chaotic and surprising. Full of scooters carrying anything from an entire family to full size dining tables, but also full of reminders of the country's French colonial past and the Vietnam war. And then there's the food - oh, the food... From egg coffee (say WHAT?!) to the country's national dish, pho; Hanoi rocks the Vietnamese food scene!
If you have no idea what to expect of the Hanoi Old Quarter, then hold onto your socks, because you are in for one heck of a ride! So get ready and let's dig into the top things to do in hà nội.
We hope you enjoyed this Vietnam travel vlog & exploring Hanoi, Vietnam! What's a Daily Lunch Break Like in Hanoi City? (Phố Duy Tân, Cầu Giấy) | LIFE IN VIETNAM
Lunch breaks are a crucial part of the daily work grind, no matter where in the world you live. Vietnam's lunch breaks are similar to those of anywhere else: people eat, then they relax a bit before going back to work.
In Vietnam, they enjoy sitting on small plastic stools on the sidewalk. At these outdoor, make-shift cafes, customers eat sunflower seeds and drink tea. While relaxing like this, they do all the normal things anyone else does in other countries. They socialize, play on their cell phones, and just take it easy.
I thought the little stools on the sidewalks really sets apart lunch breaks from other countries that I've been to.
Vietnam also enjoys siesta time. So people will take breaks anywhere from 1 to 2 hours long, including lots of chilling and/or actual nap time back home or at the office.
What's lunch breaks like in your country? Is there something that everyone does that you don't see elsewhere? Let me know in the comments below!
Thanks for watching, and please Subscribe if you haven't!

Streets of Saigon - TRAVEL TO VIETNAM
A short Film and Vlog of HoChiMin City in Vietnam.
I tried to give the viewer the sense of actually being there walking on the busy streets. I really enjoyed the challenge of filming the daily lives of the local people while I was there. The Vietnamese were among the friendlies people I have encountered while travelling and did not mind me pointing my camera at them.
I really enjoyed editing this video and trying to capture the Streets of Saigon. I really hope you guys like it too ???? HD enabled and good sound is a must ???? Giving it a thumbs up and sharing it with your travel mate would be awesome❤️ ????✈️????
Thanks for all the love and support and If you haven't already hit the subscribe e button and turn on the Bell notification to be updated on new videos. ????❤️????
SAIGON STREET EATS was a food tour we did in HoChiMin City and we highly recommend it to anyone who visits the city. Some of the shots from the video were from the tour and it was great to see a different side to the tourist part of the city.
Picked up from your hotel by a convoy of motorbikes. Bihn Nguyen the tour guide leader takes you out of the tourist area and to the heart of Saigon where you will find traditional vietnamese street food. These places who would NEVER find on your own.
Sitting among the locals you instantly notice the quality and freshness of the food! Bihn carefully navigates you through the hustle and bustle of this busy city to different locations trying different food. His knowledge of the city and its history together with his perfect English made him the best food tour guide you would hope for. This food tour was by far one the top highlight of our visit to Saigon. If you end up doing this food make sure to tell Bihn that MAX & EMILY sent you ????

From Kuala Lumpur to Bosnia! (MAP ROUTE)
From Kuala Lumpur to Bosnia!
via the Trans-Siberian
Hello everyone! I'm Kurt Fathul, and I am 29 years old from Malaysia. Me & my friend; Hafiz will be backpacking for 60 days from Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA to Sarajevo, BOSNIA via Trans-Siberian. We will start our journey this March 31st 2017 from KL Sentral, and will be expecting to end our trip in Bosnia at the end of May 2017.
We've been to several countries before, mostly in the Southeast Asia region. This year we get SUPER MOTIVATED to visit several Asia/Europe/Balkan countries from our homeland; Malaysia, by land. At first, me personally was planning to go only for Trans-Siberian in 30 days, to celebrate my 30th birthday (this April 18, 2017), a symbolic of experiencing the 30th in 30 days!. It has always been a dream in my 20s to hit the 30s with travelling across a few countries to learn & exchanging the cultures, histories, architectures and of course, the people!
The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible. - Arthur C. Clarke
But I think, it should be more than that..
I'm about to leave my 20s, so let's go for another 30 days to make it 60 days of exploring, learning and experiencing this 'once in a life time' journey. From Kuala Lumpur to Bosnia, via Trans-Siberian.
I myself believe that besides exploring other countries, we could also contribute something to the community along the way. We're very excited to experience the cultural exchange with the community in every countries we will be visited, and to VLOG it!
This is our planned schedule.
31/03 ???? Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA
01/04 ???? Bangkok, THAILAND
04/04 ???? Siem Reap, CAMBODIA
07/04 ???? Ho Chi Minh, VIETNAM
10/04 ???? Hanoi, VIETNAM
14/04 ???? Beijing, CHINA
19/04 ???? Ulan Bator, MONGOLIA
23/04 ???? Irkutsk, RUSSIA
26/04 ???? Kazan, RUSSIA

I SAW THE TRAIN! at TRAIN STREET in Hanoi & Exploring a Local Neighborhood | VIETNAM WALK
Watch my first train street video here:
(spoiler: the train didn't come, which is why I made this video ^^)
There are 2 different locations for Hanoi's TRAIN STREET where homes and businesses share their front steps with the railroad tracks and daily trains passing by.
The 1st location is on the north side of Hanoi Railway Station, the main train station in the city.
The 2nd location (in this video) is on the south side of the station and is much shorter in length than the other one.
The train passed by at exactly 1200pm, so if you want to see this train, you should come around 1130~1145am.
Google Maps:
After seeing the train, I went to Ngõ 222 Lê Duẩn alley located at the southern end of this train street. It's a nice walk into a local market back alley that loops around back towards the main road.
Just watch the video and you'll understand what I mean. hehehe
I really enjoyed this walk around video, I hope you did too! Let me know your thoughts, ask questions, or make suggestions for future videos in the comments! Thanks for all your support and love! ^^

GOODBYE KOREA, HELLO VIETNAM | First day in Hanoi, Best Pho Noodles so far, Ripped off by Fruit lady
I had a wonderful 4 and a half years living in Seoul, but it was time to move on to a new chapter of my life. I'm now living in Hanoi, Vietnam!
This was my vlog from my last day in Korea and my first day in Vietnam. What an awesome day, although a little bitter sweet. I'm sad to leave Korea, but at the same time excited to be living in Hanoi now. I'll miss everyone in Korea, especially my family and friends. But it's not a problem because I'll be visiting Korea periodically every year and I'll get to see people again.

Vietnam & Cambodia Gay Cruise - Travel Through Time - AdonisHoliday.com
Vietnam & Cambodia Mekong River All-Gay Cruise & Tour
Two Asian nations – and a favourite drag queen – await on Out Adventure's 2020 Mekong River gay cruise. After four days at our favourite five-star hotel in Siem Reap, the Cambodian town that’s home to the legendary Angkor Wat, we’ll board a luxurious, seven-night, all-gay cruise along the Mekong River. Between marvelling at ancient cities and getting lost in time in local villages, Toronto-based diva Miss Conception will stun you with two shows, a trivia night, and private Champagne lap dances in her suite. Alright, perhaps not a lap dance – we can’t let her upstage the stilted villages, Phnom Penh, and gorgeous countryside. To round off the journey, we’ll disembark in Ho Chi Minh City, where ancient collides with modern.
???????? Backpacking through Vietnam 2018 Vlog #3 - Hoi An | Mui Ne | Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
The past days of our backpacking trip through Vietnam were some of the most amazing weeks of my travel life so far. However, it should come even better. This part of our trip started with a bus tour that took us to the Elephant Spring to do some small cliff jumping and a ruined arch close to Danang. The final destination of this bus was Hoi An, which is the most beautiful city I’ve ever seen.
Hoi An is not just a beautiful city but also a great place to experience Vietnamese culture. One great thing there is a local farm village where you can take a cooking class, but also the Coconut Boat Tour was absolutely fascinating.
After Hoi An we went to Nah Trang to do a boat tour and to Da Lat to see a waterfall and do other fun activities. But our next big destination was Mui Ne to see the sunrise at the sand dunes.
Our trip ended in Saigon or also called Ho Chi Minh City where we visited the Cu Chi Tunnels. This 3-week trip was absolutely amazing and showed me the most important parts of Vietnam together with a cool group. But some places are still missing. So I will definitely come back.

114 YEAR OLD Long Biên Bridge and Getting SOAKED in a FREAK RAIN STORM | LIFE IN VIETNAM
Let's explore this 114 year old, iconic bridge in Hanoi, Vietnam. It has survived bombings and the elements. Also, watch as I get caught in a sudden rain storm that ends up flooding the streets of Hanoi, leaving me completely wet from head to toe.
The Long Biên Bridge was built by architects Daydé & Pillé of Paris. Construction was from 1899 - 1902, and the bridge was officially opened in 1903. The bridge uses a cantilever design.
The bridge was heavily bombed during the Vietnam War, and was also one of the first targets of U.S. military's first laser-guided bombs. More than half of the current bridge is not the original from 1899.
There are some efforts to restore this bridge to its once original appearance. The reconstruction and renovations are on-going.
As for the heavy rains, this was not a random storm out of nowhere. It rains like this all the time, almost every day, during rainy season in Vietnam. This was just my first time being caught out in the middle of it, while riding on the back of a motorbike.
I hope you enjoy the video! Please leave all comments and questions below and I'll reply back! ^^
Thanks for all your love and support guys. Cheers!

DON'T GO to Halong Bay ???????? GO TO LAN HA BAY ????️
Why You Should Go To Lan Ha Bay NOT Halong Bay
In today's Vietnam travel vlog, I discuss why a prefer Lan Ha Bay over Ha Long Bay (Halong Bay). Most people have heard of Ha Long Bay but there is a better, lesser-known neighbor - Lan Ha Bay!
Ha Long Bay is a Unesco World Heritage site. When most people visit the Halong Bay area, they usually go on a 2 day, 1-night cruise. I don’t really think that’s enough time to truly appreciate this place & the tour boat companies pack so much into those 48 hours that you barely get to stop and really enjoy how beautiful the place is. So, I’d recommend spending a few more days in the Ha Long Bay area. I traveled with 6 of my friends and we decided to stay 5 days and even that didn’t seem like enough time to explore the area.
Like most, we made our way to the Ha Long area from Hanoi. For about $15 roundtrip, we took a luxury van to Ha Long City. But instead of jumping on a cruise boat and going directly to Ha Long Bay, we decided to spend a couple days on Tuan Chau Island. Tuan Chau Island is just off the coast of Ha Long City. There is a bridge from Ha Long City to Tuan Chau - so it’s just a short cab ride to get there from Halong City. We stayed at an inexpensive resort called La Paz Resort. It was $80 a night per room and we stayed two to a room. So it only cost $40 a night for each individual. We actually got pretty lucky. A huge storm rolled into Ha Long Bay and everyone's Halong Bay cruise was canceled for 2 days. Luckily for us, our Ha Long Bay cruise (Lan Ha Bay cruise) wasn’t for a few days and the resort had a great pool that we had a little fun in! The resort was also right on the beach and you could see the islands of Ha Long off in a distance even though it was pretty cloudy most of the time.
After relaxing a couple of days on Tuan Chau Island, we headed to Lan Ha Bay.
We took a water taxi to Cat Ba Island and then jumped on our boat in Lan Ha Bay. Like I mentioned before, I went with 7 of my buddies and 3 of us shared one cabin. There are many different options for cruise ships from big Halong Bay luxury cruise ships to smaller, more rustic Ha Long Bay cruise boats like the one we stayed on. I personally prefer the smaller boat, there were no more than 15 of us on the boat - so it felt less like a group tour type of thing.
Ok — so why Lan Ha Bay over the more famous Ha Long Bay? Ha Long Bay is beautiful, no doubt but it’s saturated with tourist. And that’s just not what I like. You can get the exact same scenery and beauty with far fewer tourist by going a few kilometers to the southwest to Lan Ha Bay.
Lan Ha Bay is located south of Ha Long Bay, just off the coast of Cat Ba Island. Ha Long Bay covers an area of a little over 1500 square kilometers and has around 1900 small islands. Lan Ha Bay is only 76 square kilometers and has around 400 small islands. While Lan Ha Bay is much smaller but there are more islands per square kilometer. Lan Ha Bay also feels bigger because there are far fewer boats than Ha Long Bay. There were many times I felt like we were the only boat in the entire bay. We were able to explore secluded beaches and coves with just my group and some local fisherman were hanging out.
If you're trying to figure out what to do in Vietnam, I hope this Vietnam travel vlog was helpful. My only regret was not getting more Halong Bay drone shots!
