Rusching To Nashville : A Solo Ride From Charlotte to Nashville w/ Rebecca Rusch
I spend too much time on airplanes these days flying to events, appearances, meetings and races around the World. In October, I was in Charlotte, North Carolina for the final stop of the 2016 SRAM Gold Rusch Tour at Cyclofest, and 4 days later I needed to be in Nashville for a corporate meeting with Red Bull. Instead of spending more time in a flying beer can, and I hatched an idea to ditch the airplane commute and turn it into a massive bike commute. I had two full days and two half days to cover the 450 miles from Charlotte to Nashville. It seemed ambitious, but doable. So, in order to keep my sanity, get in some training and see a beautiful part of the country, #Rusching2Nashville was born.
My chosen surface on two wheels is usually dirt. This is primarily because of where I live but also partially because bikes and motor vehicles don’t always mix well. We all know a cyclist who has been injured, killed or had a close call with a car. That’s why safety is alway in the forefront of my mind when I ride on roads. PeopleForBikes advocate for shared access and transportation funding for cyclists in the US. It was a no brainer to reach out to them to help me plan the safest, most efficient route and then use my ride to raise awareness for their essential work. They are the ones lobbying in Washington DC and in your state governments to allocate transportation funding towards bike lanes, safe routes to school and the 3 foot passing rule. There is no membership fee. Just simply adding your signature to the ever growing list of cyclists gives PeopleForBikes the collective voice and numbers needed to keep our roads bike friendly.

Harley Trip '08
My dad and I went on a Harley trip in the Summer of 2008. We traveled from Des Moines, IA to Nashville, TN and back in 4 days. We covered a lot of ground!
Please pardon the quality of this video, it's my first time ever making one!
Troy's Southeastern Bike Trip 2015 Pt 2
Part 2 of my ride around the southeastern U.S. in May of 2015. In this episode, I ride from Nashville, TN to Del Rio, TN. This will be a launching pad for riding around the Great Smokey Mountains with friends I met on the road to Alaska last summer.

This video is about riding Tick Ridge in Jackson County TN on the suzuki 650 vstrom adv bike east of Nashville TN.
I'm running three Sena Prism video cameras: one on my Arai Vector II Kevin Schwantz helmet, one on the windscreen and one on the luggage rack.
I've been riding motorcycles for 55 years and I'm still riding. My YouTube channel is Still Riding Studios and my website is StillRidingStudios.com.
My YouTube channel offers original motorcycling video content with royalty free background music, sometimes commentary, always maps, how two get there, what to expect when looking for new roads to ride motorcycles in middle Tennessee.
I am now down to one motorcycle - a brand new Suzuki DL650 Vstrom XT! I sold the 2005 Suzuki 650 VStrom and the yellow Honda VFR800 Interceptor to pay for it. After riding both over the past year I realized that the VStrom fit my body and riding style now that I’m a little older. I use three Sena Prism video cameras when I ride the Suzuki 650 VStrom. I chose the Sena Prism because the blue tooth connectivity to my Sena helmet intercom works fantastic. I can narrate on the go effortlessly. I've discovered that that the windscreen, engine guard mounts and side luggage cases on the VStrom are the most stable places to mount cameras with the least amount of vibration. Of course body mounting seems to be the best in most cases.
I was running Michelin Road Pilot 4s on the VFR and Metzler Tourance Next on the 2005 Suzuki VStrom - I loved those tires! Both are great tires for touring on pavement. The new Suzuki is equipped with Bridgestones so we will see how well I like those.
My head gear is an Arai Vector II Kevin Schwantz with two camera mounts on it. I typically gear up with BMW Rallye Jacket in Sumer and fall or Gerbing heated jacket and pants in the winter. During the summer, I usually wear my BILT mesh suit with HeatOut base layer. I've become a big fan of base layers in both winter and summer. My foot wear is First Gear hybrid perforated riding boots in summer and First Gear full leather non-perforated boots in winter.
I do all of my editing in Final Cut Pro X, what a great piece of software! Also love the plug ins from FCPeffects and MotionVFX and the tools from VidIQ!

My name's John Whitfield. I'm a trial lawyer. I've been practicing law for almost 40 years. I'm a member of the firm of Whitfield Bryson & Mason. We have offices in four states; one of which being in Nashville.
I'm going to talk to you today about motorcycle accidents. I've been riding motorcycles my whole life, ever since I was a kid. About 20 years ago, I started prosecuting motorcycle cases and learned how they worked. The first thing I learned about motorcycle cases is when you go down on a bike nothing good happens. You either get some significant road rash, and the worst case is you can die. Riding a motorcycle is extremely dangerous, and it's important to find somebody that rides and knows how to prosecute your case.
There are three things I'm looking for when somebody walks in my office and has a motorcycle accident. The first thing is, did somebody make a mistake? Is somebody liable? And trust me, I ride and I know how these things work. People out on the road more often than not, don't see people on bikes. They don't see motorcycles, and nine times out of ten the fault lies in the other person that pulls in front of you or doesn't see you when you're on a motorcycle. It's important to know that. It's important to understand that. So I'm trying to figure out who's at fault.
The second thing I'm always concerned about in maximizing the recovery are that what we call damages. Is somebody hurt, are there medical bills? Is there pain and suffering? Is their work affected in some way? All those things are important for me to try to understand in order to maximize the recovery.
The final thing I'm always worried about is, is there appropriate insurance coverage, or is there an appropriate way to recover for you so that you can get your medical bills paid and get your future and lost wages paid and get money for pain and suffering. All those things are very important. We've got the ability in Nashville and in all of our offices, to protect you, and we've got the resources to even the playing field in a motorcycle case.
It's very important that you go to somebody that has the ability to go toe-to-toe with an insurance company and fight them all along the way. Because trust me, they will fight you in a case just like this one. We know motorcycle cases. I'm a rider, I know how they work. If you have a motorcycle case, if you've been injured in a motorcycle accident, call somebody that knows motorcycles and knows how they work. Call our Nashville office, 615-921-6500.
2007 Nashville Cyclocross Series Race #4
A little footage from the fourth and final round of the 2007 Nashville Cyclocross Series at Cane Ridge Park in Antioch, TN. I filmed some of the first lap of the Masters race by following them on my bike. You can see the section nicknamed the halfpipe. Its a bit shakey because I was riding with the camera in one hand and trying to keep up! 11-11-07

We head to Columbia, South Carolina, to meet James Johnson, the founder of the Disciples Motorcycle Club. At first glance, his crew could pass for Hell's Angels—big beards, leather jackets, black Harleys—but Johnson's club is filled with folks who have devoted their lives to Christianity.

Mystic Reign (US-TN) - Hold on HQ 320kbps
Do not get discourage by looking at the front art work, there is a lot more behind this playful looking cover. Front jacket represents people from different backgrounds reuniting around the earth in peace and serenity. Musically it is one of the best melodic metal albums I have ever heard, remarkable vocal performance guided by simple but effective drum with superb twin guitar work and unbelievable solos.
Here is Hold on taken from the only album released by this band from Nashville, Tennessee.
It was released as CD on privately own label Slymm Records and it has become of the most sought after albums, incredibly hard to find.
Enjoy †††

Atlanta bans e-scooters at night
(8 Aug 2019) Atlanta is banning electric scooters in the nighttime hours during what's been a deadly summer for riders.
City officials announced on Thursday a ban on electric scooters and electric bikes from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. daily.
The ban takes effect Friday.
The ban comes as cities across the nation struggle to regulate the companies renting the devices and keep riders safe.
In Atlanta, three riders have died since May in crashes that involved a public bus, an SUV and a car.
Police in the Atlanta suburb of East Point say a fourth rider was killed there Tuesday in a collision involving his scooter and a truck.
Officials have asked e-scooter vendors to disable the devices during the hours they're banned, the mayor said.
Other communities, including Dallas, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; and Athens, Georgia, have recently considered some form of regulation of scooters, partly over concerns about safety.

Recumbent Trike Tour, TrikePacking Dandridge, TN to Panther Creek SP 2014-10-01, Catrike, Ole Media
Paul & I ride our recumbent trikes from Dandridge, TN to Panther Creek State Park for an over-night tent camping tour...., trikepacking. The casual 24 mile route winds along back-roads and highways with a brief lunch stop at a cafe' Paul had frequented earlier.
Although the ride to the park was relatively uneventful, I did manage to break a chain during the return and (lacking a chain-break tool I had inadvertently removed from the tool kit) we had to be rescued. I've heard it said that the worst case scenarios make the best memories............................; the trike is now fitted with new chain and a 12-36 drive cassette (replacing the 11-34 with a broken tooth). Let's ride!
There is a DIRECTORY near the beginning so if your viewing of the 50-plus minute video needs to be brief, watch portions tailored to interest. Enjoy.
