Midsomer Norton is a town near the Mendip Hills in Bath & North East Somerset, England, 10 miles south-west of Bath, 10 miles north-east of Wells, 10 miles north-west of Frome, and 16 miles south-east of Bristol. It has a population of 10,997. Along with Radstock and Westfield it used to be part of the conurbation and large civil parish of Norton Radstock, but is now a town council in its own right.     Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be over 9,000 years old, was found in 1903. Older remains from the Upper Late Palaeolithic era have been found. The caves, produced by the activity of an underground river, contain stalactites and stalagmites.
