Strangford is a small village at the mouth of Strangford Lough in County Down, Northern Ireland. It has a population of 475 according to the 2001 Census. On the other side of the lough is Portaferry. Transport NI, an executive agency of the Department for Infrastructure, operates the Portaferry - Strangford Ferry service across Strangford Lough between the villages of Strangford and Portaferry.     Logan Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located near Port Logan on the Rhins of Galloway, at the south-western tip of Scotland. Logan, like Dawyck in the Scottish Borders and Benmore in Argyll and Bute, is an outpost or Regional Garden of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. The area has a mild climate due to the influence of the North Atlantic drift.
