Holeby was a municipality on the island of Lolland in Storstrøm County in south Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 116 km², and had a total population of 3,982 . Its last mayor was Bjarne Larsen. The main town and the seat of its municipal council was the town of Holeby with a population of 1,441 .Neighboring municipalities were Nysted to the east, Maribo and Sakskøbing to the north, and Rødby to the west. To the south was the Baltic Sea and the Fehmarn Belt. On 1 January 2007 Holeby municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen . It merged with the municipalities of Højreby, Maribo, Nakskov, Ravnsborg, Rudbjerg and Rød...

1. Maribo Domkirke Maribo
Maribo is a town in Lolland municipality in Region Sjælland on the island of Lolland in south Denmark. To the north of Maribo is Nørresø and to the south is Søndersø . Søndersø is the largest lake on Lolland. There are more islands in Søndersø than in any other lake in Denmark. These include the islands of Fruerø, Hestø, Præstø, Borgø, Lindø, Askø and Worsaaes. This is part of the Maribo Lakes Nature Park, which spans the towns of Maribo, Holeby, Sakskøbing and Nysted.

I andre etasje i Bergen Sjøfartsmuseum står ein modell av ein Burmeister & Wain dieselmotor. Edmund Hellmann kjenner desse maskinane ut og inn - bokstaveleg talt. Den 18. september 2016 heldt han lynkurs i drift og overhaling, stempelsjau og pakningsbyte på desse dyra.
