Kimbolton is a village and civil parish in Cambridgeshire, England. Kimbolton lies approximately 9 miles west of Huntingdon and 14 miles north of Bedford. Kimbolton is situated within Huntingdonshire which is a non-metropolitan district of Cambridgeshire as well as being a historic county of England. The parish includes the hamlet of Stonely. Catherine of Aragon, after her divorce from Henry VIII, died at Kimbolton Castle in 1536.

The Grade I listed house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild as a weekend residence for grand entertaining and as a setting for his collection. The last member of the Rothschild family to own Waddesdon was James de Rothschild . He bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust.
