1. Thursford Fakenham
Thursford is a village and civil parish in the county of Norfolk, eastern England. The village is 16.3 miles southwest of Cromer, 24.5 miles northwest of Norwich and 121 miles north-east of London. The village lies 6.9 miles northwest of the nearby town of Fakenham. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The village once had its own Thursford railway station which is now closed. It is a proposed stop on the Norfolk Orbital Railway. Thursford parish church is dedicated to St Andrew and has some fine examples of Victorian stained glass windows. The church was rebuilt in the early 1860s with money given by the Chadd family who lived in the nearby Thursford Hall.

West Bay is a major gateway to the Jurassic Coast, which covers 95 miles of coast from Orcombe Rocks at Exmouth, Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset. Sometimes known as the Dinosaur Coast, tourists throughout the World visit Dorset for fossil hunting in stunning coastal scenery. The famous sandstone East Cliff at West Bay, formed from Lower Jurassic Bridport Sands exposes 180 million years of history.

Fairlight Cove is the best area (other than the Isle of Wight) for dinosaur remains. This stretch of coastland its fossil plants and animals are some of the best examples of their types in the world. There are about 6 kilometres of eroding cliffs which represent ancient, long-lost Cretaceous environments including meander plaines, braid planes, lagoons, lakes and deltas.

Fossilised dinosaur bones and footprints, shark teeth, crocodile and turtle remains, mollusc shells and plant remains are regularly found along this stretch of coast.
