Life can be hell for the indecisive among us.
We're bombarded with perplexing choices every day: Cash or credit? Buy or rent?
And then there's the decision that many Americans might just agonize over the most: city or suburb?
How important is your location to you? When searching for a place to live,
generally each person (or family) has something at the very top of their priorities list,
which is the single most important factor for them in choosing a home. For many people, this factor is location.
We all know the seductive advantages of big-city living.
But there are plenty of charms found in small-town America, too—towns where you chat with your neighbors at the grocery store,
local kids ride bikes in packs across tree-lined streets, and moms hang shirts to dry on the backyard clotheslines.
Sure, small towns lack the nonstop excitement and endless opportunities of urban living. But these places are a heck of a lot cheaper.
And many have great schools, charming historic homes, and a great sense of community.
The realtor.com data team set out to find the best small towns in America where you can find affordable and often beautiful housing, safe communities—and, just as important for former city dwellers, plenty of things to do.
Here are Top 10 Affordable Small Towns Where You'd Actually Want to Live In America for 2018:

AMERICAN FAR WEST PHOTO COLLECTION
This is a collection of photos by Saro DI Bartolo and Giulietta Laconeo, presenting some of the most fantastic natural wonders of the American South West.
The Western U.S. is the largest region of the country, covering more than half the land area of the United States.
It is also the most geographically diverse, incorporating geographic regions such as the temperate rainforests of the Northwest, the highest mountain ranges (including the Rocky Mountains, and the Sierra Nevada, the Great Plains, and all of the desert areas located in the United States (the Mojave, Sonoran, Great Basin, and Chihuahua deserts).
Given this expansive and diverse geography it is no wonder the region is difficult to specifically define.
In the early 1990s, a majority of historian placed the eastern boundary of the West east of the Census definition out on the eastern edge of the Great Plains or on the Mississippi River.
Other classifications distinguish between Southwest and Northwest. Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and Utah are typically considered to be part of the Southwest, though Texas and Oklahoma are frequently considered part of the Southwest as well.
Meanwhile, the states of Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington can be considered part of the Northwest or Pacific Northwest.
The term West Coast is commonly used to refer to just California, Oregon and Washington, whereas Alaska and Hawaii are more geographically isolated from the other states of the region and don't necessarily fit in any of these subregions.

Colorado:
Colorado is the U.S. state that encompasses most of the Southern Rocky Mountains as well as the northeastern portion of the Colorado Plateau and the western edge of the Great Plains. Colorado is part of the Western United States, the Southwestern United States, and the Mountain States. Colorado is the 8th most extensive and the 22nd most populous of the 50 United States. The United States Census Bureau estimates that the population of Colorado was 5,116,796 on July 1, 2011, an increase of +1.74% since the 2010 United States Census.
The state was named for the Colorado River, which early Spanish explorers named the Río Colorado for the red colored (Spanish: colorado) silt the river carried from the mountains. On August 1, 1876, U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant signed a proclamation admitting Colorado as the 38th state. Colorado is nicknamed the Centennial State because it was admitted to the Union in 1876, the centennial year of the United States Declaration of Independence.
Colorado is bordered by the northwest state of Wyoming to the north, the midwest states of Nebraska and Kansas to the northeast and east, on the south by New Mexico a small portion of the southwestern state of Oklahoma, on the west by Utah, and Arizona to the southwest. The four states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah meet at one common point known as the Four Corners, which is known as the heart of the American Southwest.
Colorado is noted for its vivid landscape of mountains, forests, high plains, mesas, canyons, plateaus, rivers, and desert lands.
Denver is the capital and the most populous city of Colorado. Residents of the state are properly known as Coloradans, although the term Coloradoan is still used.
