Narrowboat Gloucester & Sharpness Canal & Railway Disaster
We've navigated to the end of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal to the Sharpness Docks. I discover what's at the end of the canal and see the remains of the Severn Railway Bridge devastated in the 1960's by barges crashing into it's supporting columns. I walk along the longest village green in England, which is a true example of picture postcard English village. I also discuss the bad sides of the canal including the bobbing up and down and the rude rowers.

Drone footage shows surfers riding the Severn Bore
It's not Bondi Beach or Maui. Instead surfers from around the world braved chilly conditions of Newnham-on-Severn, in Gloucestershire to ride the river's Bore, on Friday. The Bore, which is a tidal phenomena that occurs in the lower reaches of the river, can been surging up the estuary carrying a slew of surfers. Hundreds of spectators are also seen lined along the riverbank to catch a glimpse of the first and only daytime five-star bore.

West Midlands Safari Park, Bewdley, Worcestershire, England
Our day trip to West Midland Safari Park, Bewdley, Worcestershire, England, where we had a fantastic time, and quite bemused to see the dinosaur animatronics. In our view, it’s not as good as Longleat in Bath, but still worth the visit, it made for a nice day out, especially at its one Park we haven’t been too; and the dinosaurs made an interesting addition to the Park.
The video doesn’t show everything we saw e.g. the bats and sea lions; but it does provide a preview of what you might expect should you visit the Park. As well as the traditional safari wildlife, and the dinosaurs, I also filmed some of the other wildlife animals including amphibians and reptiles, and the insects and birds at the Park.

Vintage Trains tour on 19th October 2013. Tyseley -- Stroud -- Oxford -- Tyseley
Ongoing closures of the Severn Tunnel and subsequent traffic diversions though Gloucester resulted in the postponement of this tour from the 12th to the 19th and tight scheduling with maximum use of the disguised water tanker. This restricted filming opportunities to two or with luck, three locations. The climb through the Golden Valley is a must but in order to avoid the usual crush at Frampton Mansell I decided to go to Thrupp to film the beginning of the climb out of Stroud. Luckily, the first camera supplied me with enough sound to suppress the annoying train coming alarm at Ham Mill crossing. The return leg from Oxford on the Cotswold Line is captured near Broad Campden and although the arrival of rain after waiting an hour in glorious sunshine was frustrating, this was nothing compared the mother of all downpours which hit just after I got back to the car! 5043 is seen taking it easy on the run in to Chipping Campden having already got comfortably ahead of schedule but it gave me extra precious minutes to get to Rowley Regis through flooded roads and mega spray on the motorway. To save time, I used a rice bag on the road bridge parapet with the microphone hanging over to avoid the busy traffic sounds. What happened next I can only describe as awesome, a usually overused word but not in this case. First we hear the Earl whistle through Old Hill and disappear into the tunnel, .....and then.....! Enjoy probably the loudest exhaust sounds I have ever recorded as the Castle erupts from the tunnel as the crew leaves the regulator wide open for the final assault through the cutting and station to the summit. Even the huge road bridge bounced with the blast -- honestly! requiring the removal of a number of expletives from the soundtrack!! Now that really was awesome.
Sark Sheep Racing Weekend 2014
This is the very popular Sark Sheep Racing event from 2014. This takes place every year on the island of Sark in the Channel Islands. In 2014 it took place on the weekend of Saturday 19th July and Sunday 20th July.
After the official races ended on Sunday there seemed to be a few alternative races happening, which you can see at 4:05. Maybe you were there or know someone who went there that year.
It shows footage from Saturday and up to the end of the day on Sunday when everything was being packed away.
