A day cruise from Athens to the Saronic Islands - Aegina, Poros and Hydra.
This video is about Aegina island, which is just an hour ferry ride from Athens and is a popular weekend destination.
Aegina is a beautiful place with lovely narrow streets and remarkable port promenade where you can take a relaxing stroll and stop at some of the many cafes, restaurants and shops lined along the promenade.
The most important sight in Aegina is the Ancient Temple of Athena Aphaia, constructed in the 6th century BC.

Perdika, Aegina Island, Greece (Hikes to Oros and Moni Island)
Perdika, Aegina Island, not far from the mainland of Athens, is a peaceful place to enjoy a vacation in Greece. During our time visiting, I had the chance to hike up two of the local high points. Oros has a white church at the top of it looking over the island. The empty fort at the top of Moni Island has views of the entire Saronic Gulf. Both were fun and somewhat challenging hikes that started near Perdika, Greece. A short ferry will take you to Moni Island where you can begin the journey.

Places to Visit in Greece - HYDRA the Quaint Island
Hydra Island is one of the beautiful Greek Islands - famous for its picturesque architecture, the vivid nightlife, and cosmopolitan character. In spring and autumn, hiking is a popular thing to do as the island is crossed by many walking paths that lead to impressive spots with sea view and historical monasteries.
Hydra is an extremely popular summer getaway destination wherein motor vehicles are prohibited. Famous among locals and foreigners alike, this lovely island is close to Athens, and it is the place to be if you want to get away from the city and unwind. A place wherein motorized vehicles are forbidden, transport in Hydra can be done on foot, by boat, or by riding a donkey. As small as the town may be, Hydra has a number of tourists sites and activities and to offer to its visitors. The bastions, the Historical Archives Museum, the Merchant Marine Academy, the Ecclesiastical Museum, and the Hydra beaches are only some of the tourist sites in Hydra that you may visit, and it is recommended that you stay in Hydra overnight to enjoy this picturesque island.
Hydra has pebbled beaches for the nature lovers, one of which includes the Hydra Vichos Beach. Located in a resort with the same name, Hydra Vichos Beach is a quiet family-friendly beach with crystal clear waters. Just a short distance from Hydra Town is the rocky Siplia Beach wherein the waters are crystal clear and deep blue. Walking distance from Hydra Town as well is the Hydronetta Beach which has an extremely popular place because of the bar that overhangs the rocks in which people can relax while enjoying the view as relaxing ambient is played on the bar.
