The early morning in Rio de Janeiro brings quiet, misty coastlines and pink-purple sunrises. The Brazilian locals are up and about soon enough, piling onto the beautiful beaches and expressing themselves through artwork, dance, and the ubiquitous Rio de Janeiro partying.
A Rio de Janeiro tour must stop at Christ the Redeemer, the ubiquitous statue that watches over the city from above the Tijuca National Forest. Take the cable car to the lookout point on Sugarloaf Mountain, the city’s iconic peak, and try not to look down – it’s a long way to drop!

Brasilia, A Realized Utopia. Video Guide To The Capital Of Brazil
Brasilia, a capital created ex nihilo in the centre of the country in 1956, was a landmark in the history of town planning. Urban planner Lucio Costa and architect Oscar Niemeyer intended that every element – from the layout of the residential and administrative districts (often compared to the shape of a bird in flight) to the symmetry of the buildings themselves – should be in harmony with the city’s overall design. The official buildings, in particular, are innovative and imaginative.

Brasília é a capital federal do Brasil e a sede do governo do Distrito Federal. A capital está localizada na região Centro-Oeste do país, ao longo da região geográfica conhecida como Planalto Central. Segundo estimativa do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) para 2017, sua população era de 3 039 444 habitantes (4 284 676 em sua área metropolitana), sendo, então, a terceira cidade mais populosa do país. Brasília é também a quinta concentração urbana mais populosa do Brasil. A capital brasileira é a maior cidade do mundo construída no século XX.
A cidade possui o maior produto interno bruto per capita em relação às capitais, o quarto maior entre as principais cidades da América Latina e cerca de três vezes maior que a renda média brasileira. Como capital nacional, Brasília abriga a sede dos três poderes da República (Executivo, Legislativo e Judiciário) e 127 embaixadas estrangeiras. A política de planejamento da cidade, como a localização de prédios residenciais em grandes áreas urbanas, a construção da cidade através de enormes avenidas e a sua divisão em setores, tem provocado debates sobre o estilo de vida nas grandes cidades no século XX. O projeto da cidade a divide em blocos numerados, além de setores para atividades pré-determinadas, como o Setor Hoteleiro, Bancário ou de Embaixadas.
O plano urbanístico da capital, conhecido como Plano Piloto, foi elaborado pelo urbanista Lúcio Costa, que, aproveitando o relevo da região, adequou-o ao projeto do lago Paranoá, concebido em 1893 pela Missão Cruls. A cidade começou a ser planejada e desenvolvida em 1956 por Lúcio Costa e pelo arquiteto Oscar Niemeyer, com cálculos estruturais do engenheiro Joaquim Cardoso. Inaugurada em 21 de abril de 1960, pelo então presidente Juscelino Kubitschek, Brasília tornou-se formalmente a terceira capital do Brasil, após Salvador e Rio de Janeiro. Vista de cima, a principal área da cidade se assemelha ao formato de um avião, porém foi projetada em formato de borboleta. A cidade, comumente referida como Capital Federal ou BSB, é considerada um Patrimônio Mundial pela UNESCO, devido ao seu conjunto arquitetônico e urbanístico e possui a maior área tombada do mundo, com 112,5 quilômetros quadrados.
A cidade tem um estatuto único no Brasil, já que é uma divisão administrativa distinta de um município legal, como outras cidades brasileiras, semelhante ao que acontece com Washington, D.C., nos Estados Unidos, e com Camberra, na Austrália. A palavra Brasília é usada como um sinônimo do Distrito Federal como um todo; no entanto, o DF é composto de 31 regiões administrativas, das quais apenas uma é o centro da entidade: a Região Administrativa I, que é basicamente formada pelo Plano Piloto e pelo Parque Nacional de Brasília. Publicações demográficas geralmente não fazem esta distinção e listam a população brasiliense como sinônimo da população do DF, considerando-se o conjunto como uma única entidade. O Distrito Federal, acumula características de município e estado, sendo que as suas outras regiões administrativas, também chamadas cidades-satélites, não são tratadas como municípios.

Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of the Argentine Republic. The name means fair winds. Most of the country's activity is highly concentrated in this single city and its surroundings. Buenos Aires constantly receives tourists from all over the world and offers a large choice of cultural events, nightlife, restaurants, and pubs. So you can expect good services and a wide range of options.
LOCATION
The city is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, on the South American continent's southeastern coast. The city extends on a plain covering 20 km (12 mi) from north to south and 18 km (11 mi) from east to west.
HISTORY
Seaman Juan Díaz de Solís, navigating in the name of Spain, was the first European to reach the Río de la Plata in 1516. The city of Buenos Aires was first established on 2 February 1536 by a Spanish expedition led by Pedro de Mendoza.
Buenos Aires is an autonomous district.In 1880, after decades of political infighting, Buenos Aires was federalized and removed from Buenos Aires Province.
POPULATION
Buenos Aires is a multicultural city, being home to multiple ethnic and religious groups. Several languages are spoken in the city. Approximately three million people live in the City of Buenos Aires. Its metropolitan area, Great Buenos Aires (Gran Buenos Aires), is the 22nd most populated urban center in the world with over 18 million people.
Buenos Aires also has one of the largest homosexual communities in Latin America and there is a receptive attitude towards gay society in the federal law, same sex marriages are legally performed and recognized in Argentinian federal law.
Christianity is the most prevalently practiced religion in Buenos Aires (79.6%), and most inhabitants are Roman Catholic (70%).
There are Protestant, Orthodox Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormon, and Buddhist minorities. The city is home to the largest mosque in South America.
The Jewish community in Greater Buenos Aires numbers around 250,000, and is the largest in Latin America. The city is also eighth largest in the world in terms of Jewish population.
CLIMATE
Buenos aires like has a humid subtropical climate with a significant influence from the Atlantic Ocean. However the city has an unpredictable weather year-round. Summers last from December to February and are hot as the average high is exactly 30°C and heat waves can affect the city leading to above 35°C. Winters are cool but not cold and fairly cloudy. Despite being in the dry season, June, July and August see above 60 milimeters of rain. Temperatures usually range from around 5-8°C during the night.
GOVERNMENT
The Executive is held by the Chief of Government elected for a four-year term together with a Deputy Chief of Government, who presides over the 60-member Buenos Aires City Legislature.
ECONOMY
Buenos Aires is the financial, industrial, and commercial hub of Argentina. The economy in the city proper alone. Metro Buenos Aires, according to one well-quoted study, constitutes the 13th largest economy among the world's cities.The Buenos Aires Human Development Index (0.923 in 1998) is likewise high by international standards.
The port of Buenos Aires is one of the busiest in South America; navigable rivers by way of the Rio de la Plata connect the port to north-east Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay. As a result, it serves as the distribution hub for a vast area of the south-eastern region of the continent.
In recent years there has been an increase in gay oriented businesses such as real estate, apartment rental, travel agents, language classes, tango classes, bars, restaurants, hotels, and guesthouses. Since 2007, the city has seen the arrival of more gay cruise ships, the opening of a gay five-star hotel and a general increase in gay tourism.
TOURISM
Buenos Aires is a top tourist destination, and is known for its preserved Eclectic European architecture and rich cultural life.
Buenos Aires' quality of life was ranked 91st in the world, being one of the best in Latin America in 2018. It is the most visited city in South America, and the second-most visited city of Latin America (behind Mexico City).

City Description:
Brasília, inaugurated as Brazil’s capital in 1960, is a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis, 2 wide avenues flanking a massive park. In the “cockpit” is Praça dos Três Poderes, named for the 3 branches of government surrounding it.The iconic Congreso Nacional features 2 domed chambers split by twin towers. Facing the Supremo Tribunal Federal is Palácio do Planalto, the Brazilian presidential offices. Nearby is the Cathedral of Brasília, a crownlike structure with concrete ribs supporting stained glass. The adjacent, igloo-shaped Museu Nacional displays temporary art exhibits. The Brasília TV Tower offers panoramic views from its observation deck. Brasília’s “wings” hold numerous hotels, shops and restaurants. To the east, Paranoá Lake is popular for water sports, while cycle tracks criss-cross the 420-hectare Sarah Kubitschek municipal park.
Weather and Events:
The climate is hot year-round, with both a wet (Oct–Mar) and dry (May–Aug) season. Peak travel period is May–Jul. As in other Brazilian cities, Carnaval (dates vary, Feb/Mar) is a big deal, and hotels get booked up well ahead.
