Milton Keynes , locally abbreviated to MK, is a large town in the Borough of Milton Keynes, of which it is the administrative centre. It was formally designated as a new town on 23 January 1967, with the design brief to become a city in scale. It is located about 45 miles north-west of London. At designation, its 89 km2 area incorporated the existing towns of Bletchley, Wolverton, and Stony Stratford, along with another fifteen villages and farmland in between.     The Book of Common Prayer is the short title of a number of related prayer books used in the Anglican Communion, as well as by other Christian churches historically related to Anglicanism. The original book, published in 1549 in the reign of Edward VI, was a product of the English Reformation following the break with Rome. The work of 1549 was the first prayer book to include the complete forms of service for daily and Sunday worship in English.
