Oswaldtwistle is a small town within the Hyndburn borough of Lancashire, England, lying 3 miles east southeast of Blackburn. Oswaldtwistle is contiguous with Accrington and Church. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal passes through the town. The 2001 census recorded a population of 12,530, by 2011 this had decreased to 11,803.
