Beeston is a suburb of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England located on a hill about 2 miles south of the city centre. The origins of Beeston can be traced back to the medieval period. It remained a small settlement until the latter part of the Victorian era when it became a primarily residential area for people working in Leeds and surrounding industrial areas like Holbeck and Hunslet. Beeston has a population of about 20,000 people. At the time of the 2011 census Beeston had been included in the City and Hunslet Ward of Leeds City Council.     Old Trafford is an area in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, two miles southwest of Manchester city centre, roughly delineated by the crossroads of two old toll gates, Brooks's Bar to the east and Trafford Bar to the west. Old Trafford is the site of Old Trafford football stadium, home of Manchester United F.C., and Old Trafford Cricket Ground, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, at opposite ends of Warwick Road, renamed Brian Statham Way and Sir Matt Busby Way . The road between them retains the name Warwick Road, and the southern section on the other side of the Metrolink line is Warwick Road South.
