The Stone of Scone —also known as the Stone of Destiny, and often referred to in England as The Coronation Stone—is an oblong block of red sandstone that was used for centuries in the coronation of the monarchs of Scotland, and later the monarchs of England and those of the United Kingdom. Historically, the artefact was kept at the now-ruined Scone Abbey in Scone, near Perth, Scotland. It is also known as Jacob's Pillow Stone and the Tanist Stone, and in Scottish Gaelic, clach-na-cinneamhain. 1. Waddesdon Manor Waddesdon
Waddesdon Manor is a country house in the village of Waddesdon, in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the Aylesbury Vale, 6.6 miles west of Aylesbury. The Grade I listed house was built in the Neo-Renaissance style of a French château between 1874 and 1889 for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild as a weekend residence for grand entertaining and as a setting for his collection. The last member of the Rothschild family to own Waddesdon was James de Rothschild . He bequeathed the house and its contents to the National Trust. It is now managed by the Rothschild Foundation chaired by Jacob Rothschild, 4th Baron Rothschild. It is one of the National Trust's most visited properties, with over 467,000 visitors annually. Sudeley Castle is located in the Cotswolds near Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England. The present structure was built in the 15th century and may have been on the site of a 12th-century castle. The castle has a notable garden, which is designed and maintained to a very high standard. The chapel, St. Mary's Sudeley, is the burial place of Queen Catherine Parr , the sixth wife of King Henry VIII, and contains her marble tomb. Unusually for a castle chapel, St Mary's of Sudeley is part of the local parish of the Church of England. Sudeley is also one of the few castles left in England that is still a residence. TV filming location -- The Vicar of Dibley

The picturesque village of Turville in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, which is best known for doubling for Dibley in the television comedy series The Vicar of Dibley. The church that doubled for St Barnabus [sic] Church is St Mary The Virgin Church.

On the horizon you can see Cobstone Windmill, which also famously featured in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Saunderton Circular Chilterns Walk via Bledlow 24 March 2009

A 10.75 mile circular walk from Saunderton station in the heart of the Buckinghamshire Chiltern hills via the villages of Bledlow and Radnage. The walk took place on Tuesday 24 March 2009 in bright but windy weather.

Christmas Common to Stonor Chiltern Walk 5 June 2010

An 11 mile walk through the southern Chiltern hills between Christmas Common and Stonor. The walk went via the villages of Ibstone, Fingest and Turville. The video contains footage of the fascinating church at Fingest with its twin gabled tower, plus views inside the church at Turville. Also at Turville, there are views of the famous Cobstone Windmill which featured in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Baang. The video ends with great views of Stonor House, home to the Stonor family fort over 800 years. The walk took place in very hot weather on Saturday 5 June 2010.

Time Out Walks, Book 1, Walk 22, Haslemere Circular. 24/7/13

Another trip around this very pleasant 9 miler in the Surrey countryside.
Shortly after leaving the rail station, it's not long before the walker is entering the South Downs National Park, though much of the land surrounding the town is National Trust owned anyway.
The morning section is mainly delightful mixed woodland walking prior to reaching the village of Fernhurst for the suggested lunch time stop.
After lunch, the scenery is still pleasingly wooded, but with more heathland as the walker ascends past the 'Temple of Winds' (well worth the additional detour!) and onto the highest point in the National Park (and Sussex!), the 919 feet (280m) of Black Down.
A great shorter walk that is a delight at any time of the year.

Goring Circular Chiltern Walk via River Thames Path 13 June 2009

A 10 mile circular walk from Goring and Streatley Station via the Thames Path to Whitchurch-on-Thames and then through the Chiltern Hills via Wroxhills Wood back to Goring. The walk took place in sunny weather on Saturday 13 June 2009.

The London Countryway: Sunningdale To Windsor 25 March 2016

The London Countryway is a 205 mile long distance footpath that encircles Greater London. This is the wonderful 9 mile stretch of the Countryway between Sunningdale and Windsor. The walk goes across Colworth Park before entering Windsor Great Park and going alongside Virginia Water to the Totem Pole. Then the walk goes through the Cumberland Gate to reach to Copper Horse statue of King George III which is at the end of the famous Long Walk. The final 3 miles of the walk follows the Long Walk into Windsor town centre with great views of Windsor Castle. The walk took place in gloriously sunny weather on Friday 25 March 2016.
