Arnarfjörður Selárdalur in Arnarfjörður Picture of Westfjords
Travelling specifically around the westfjords of Iceland is a trip on its own. Preferably one should spend at least a week threading each fjords with their powerful mountains and their small and charming towns. This is photo is from Arnarfjörður, the second largest fjord of the westfjords. Situated between Tálkanafjörður and Dýrafjörður is 30 km long and 10 km at its widest. With this in mind, it makes sense that within Arnarfjörður there are a few smaller fjords one of them is Dynjandavogur where the majestic waterfall Dynjandi is along with a camping area. The drive through Arnarfjörður should be a slow one to be able to take in the overwhelming view of the mountains surrounded by the fjord as can be seen in this photograph. The fjord is 30 km long and 10 km at its widest and features sveral smaller fjords and inlets. It borders on Slettanes to the north and Kopur to the south. Between Arnarfjordur and Dyrafjordur lies the Westfjord's highest mountain, Kaldbakur (not to be confused with Kaldbakur in Eyjafjordur), rising to a height of 998 meters. Iceland's national hero Jon Sigurdsson was born in Arnarfjordur, at Hrafnseyri. The fjord also features strongly in folklore, said to have the most monsters of all the country's fjords as well as having many sorcerers.

Patreksfjörður - Stúkuhúsið
Stukuhusid opened up for business the 1 st of June 2012 and is well located in the center of town, close to the swimming-pool. There is a great view over the fjord from the terrace, and there is always the possibility that whales will make an apperance.
