Real Life Temple Run // Abu Simbel Egypt

This isn't a video game, it's a real life run through the temple of Abu Simbel in Egypt. It's a 3 hour drive from Aswan, but one of the coolest temples we saw in Egypt.

Not to mention the fact that there weren't so many people there simply because it's hard to reach. If you're headed for a vacation in Egypt, or just looking for things to do, this is something you should consider.

The temple itself was kind of lost to time until the 1800s, when some European explorers rediscovered it with the help of a little boy named Abu. He told them he knew of some stuff buried in the sand that they should check out!

Even cooler, UNESCO actually completely dismantled this temple and reconstructed it higher in elevation because a dam was going to place it entirely under water. The original plan, although more expensive, was to place under water viewing platforms, but the temple deserved better than that. It was quite the impressive feat to cut it into blocks and carefully reassemble exactly as it was before.
