These are the places in Florida where the cost of living is the lowest; where your salary goes the furthest.
And when if you have the luxury of choosing where to live in the Sunshine State, then the cost of living should play a role in the decision.
The places we name here are among the most affordable places to live in Florida now, but they may not be the absolute cheapest.
Why? Because we did not include places that have high crime rates.
I don’t think you want to try to save money by greatly increasing your chances, or that of your family, of becoming a victim of a violent crime.
The place had to be what most people would consider livable because it has shops, restaurants and maybe even parks so you can enjoy your life.
There are still a few places in Florida that are affordable and safe.

I visit Rosewood, Florida, the site of a horrific racist massacre in 1923. A white mob burned down the town belonging to their black neighbors, murdered them, and pillaged their belongings. I stopped by Gainesville FL to see its downtown area on the way to Tampa FL. Gainesville seemed very calm and quiet. The downtown area looks nice with cool shops, cafes and buildings. There are beautiful trees all over.
