Ålesund City Train Sightseeing Tour
This is a taste of the what the Ålesund City Train tour is like. On a rainy day it was a good way to get a look at this Norwegian city. It goes up to the hill Fjellstua Viewpoint where it stops for 10 minutes (which we thought was too short). The entire tour was about an hour and 10 minutes. The starting point was easily accessible from the cruise port terminal area. =======================

Alesund, Norway is a port town on the west coast of Norway. It's known for its art nouveau architectural style and beautiful landscape comprised of islands. Things to do in Alesund include enjoying the view from Fjellstua, visiting the Alnes Lighthouse, and strolling through the city's magnificent architecture.
The infamous Atlantic Ocean Road is an 8.3 kilometer road in Norway known to be one of the world's most scenic drives! In certain seasons the water will cascade over the road. There are designated viewing points surrounding the road. It is absolutely breathtaking! Definitely one of my favorite destinations in Norway.

*Please note this series was filmed in May which is off tourist season and Winter in Norway. Some roads in Norway were closed including hikes; however, it was less crowded and cheaper! We experienced some rainfall but nothing too bad. Do be careful of hikes on cliffs and hills as the rain makes the ground muddy.
