The United States Penitentiary, Allenwood is a high-security United States federal prison in Pennsylvania. It is part of the Allenwood Federal Correctional Complex and is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. FCC Allenwood is located on US Route 15 in White Deer, PA, approximately halfway between the cities of Williamsport and Lewisburg and approximately 75 miles north of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the state capital.

Knoebels Amusement Resort is a family-owned and operated amusement park, picnic grove, and campground in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. It is and has been America's largest free-admission park for 91 years of operation. Opened in 1926, the park has more than 60 rides, three wooden roller coasters, one steel roller coaster, a 1913 carousel, and a haunted house dark ride. The park and its rides have won awards from organizations such as Amusement Today, American Coaster Enthusiasts, and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. PA Welcome Center on Route 15South

I like this welcome area on Route 15 South in Pennsylvania. I went there soon after it opened in 2003 and have visited it maybe thrice since. It's actually a nice place to spend time, spacious inside with rocking chairs and of course plenty of info along with knowledgeable staffers on hand. Outside is where you see these scenic views.

Pine Knot Cemetery - Will Government Take Alvira's Cemetery??

There are only 4 historic cemeteries left of the town of Alvira. 3 are accessible to the public. The 4th one is inside the prison fence. The government wants to expand the neighboring prison which would place the cemeteries inside the prison fence, making it inaccessible to the public.
The public is outraged. They are against this. They want to have access to their ancestors grave sites.
The town of Alvira was taken over by eminent domain early in WWII to manufacture and store TNT. 11 months later, the government realized they over-estimated the need for that much TNT and the site was abandoned......
