Armada is a village in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,730 at the 2010 census. The 2008 Census Bureau Estimate places the population at 1,657. The village is located within Armada Township. It is most commonly known for its annually held Armada Fair. A country fair is held in the village each August.A Halloween festival, Armada-geddon, is held in the village each year on the first Saturday in October, celebrating the fall, fun and all things spooky. The event includes a 5k walk, run and shamble, a street fair with craft venders and food, games for the kids and in the evening a lighted Halloween Parade.

Franken represents the Province of Franconia in the Kingdom of Bavaria where the original settlers were from. The German word Mut means courage; thus, the name Frankenmuth means courage of the Franconians. The most popular nickname is Little Bavaria, but the city is also nicknamed Muth.
