The new region came into effect on 1 January 2016, after the regional elections in December 2015.The region covers an area of more than 69,711 km2 , making it the third largest in metropolitan France, with a population of 7,695,264, second only to Île-de-France.

    The Maison de la danse is a theater located in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon, France. It was founded in 1980 in the Théâtre de la Croix-Rousse before moving in 1992 in what was called the Théâtre du 8ème.
