Inside the super secret Soviet submarine base at Balaclava
In the 1950s the Soviet Union erased the town of Balaclava, Ukraine from the map. They were building a top secret submarine base there, carved into the cliffs on the side of the harbor, and no one was to know it existed. The base was decommissioned in the 90s when the submarines got too big to use it but the structure remains in place today. It is now a museum, open to the public, memorializing the Cold War and the secrecy surrounding that era.
It also happens to be a phenomenally cool place to visit. We did both the walking and boat tour and had an amazing time. Absolutely worth making the trip down from Sevastopol for the day to visit.

Сегодня мы прогулялись по Новой набережной Балаклавы, по ранее закрытой территории, так как строения, располагающиеся там, - памятники архитектуры, ранее принадлежали Виктору Януковичу и были за забором под замком. А потом мы прошлись по Набережной Назукина, которая является самым посещаемым местом в Балаклаве. Атмосфера непередаваемо прекрасна, отдых получился чудесным. Все в Балаклаву, в Крым 2018!

В недавнем времени закрытый секретный город, куда ранее можно было попасть только по спецпропускам, так как именно тут располагалась база подводных лодок. В этом видео мы приехали на западную сторону Балаклавы, чтобы показать вам потрясающие виды и лучшие места для фото!
