The First KFC on Earth (Corbin, Kentucky)
FILMED IN HIGH DEFINITION
Amazing historical restaurant and museum: this is where all the KFC’s in the world started!
This is a very personal segment I filmed in 2018. My parents were big into roadtrips, and we travelled everywhere in the summer. We went to all kinds of quirky, unusual places. My Dad had talked about visiting the first KFC in the world, at Corbin, Kentucky, but his life was cut short by a heart attack in 1980. He was only 46. While Mom and I continued to do road trips, especially after I got a good job after college, we never made to Corbin, before she too died, of cancer, in 1999. I thought about it often, as an unfulfilled family dream. Finally, as a consultant at Lexington, Kentucky, I looked up Corbin on my GPS and found it was only an hour and a half drive south. This short film is about closing the circle of a family quest.

The Hike to Dog Slaughter Falls
This is the final installment in the Cumberland Falls Adventure. On this hike, we hiked approximately 3.5 miles to Dog Slaughter Falls. The terrain was pretty rough in spots and we had to do some old fashioned rock scrambling on this one as well. Along the trail, we saw some very impressive rock formations and much of it ran parallel to the Cumberland River. If you get a chance to visit the Cumberland Falls Area make sure you try this hike. It will challenge you but you are rewarded for your hard work with a very lovely view of Dog Slaughter Falls.

Southeastern Kentucky Off The Beaten Path, Where The Streets Have No Name
If you get off the beaten path and onto the path less traveled you will find much beauty in Eastern Kentucky. Our lives are much the same way. Take the path less traveled, the one Jesus took. You will never be sorry. Life will blossom and become as vibrant as the fall foliage is in eastern Kentucky. Oh, what a beautiful place He has created for mankind. Oh, what a beautiful life!!
Driving through Pineville KY... We decided to record our drive of the city because it's an awesome, quiet little town. This was taken October 31st of 2008. Some things have change I'm sure.
