Bokaro Steel City is a city located in East India in the state of Jharkhand. It is the administrative headquarters of Bokaro district. It is one of the most populous cities in the state of Jharkhand. The city stands at an elevation of 210 metres (690 feet) above sea level and has an urban area of 183 square kilometres (71 square miles). Bounded on the east by Dhanbad and Purulia, on the west by Ramgarh and Hazaribagh, on the north by Giridih and on the south by Ranchi. It is accessible through National Highway NH 143 & NH-18.

1. Dalma Hills :
Dalma Hills is one of the beautiful tourist spots in Jamshedpur in Jharkhand state of India. Far from the maddening crowd and the hustle bustle of the city life, the calm and serene surrounding of Dalma Hillsrelieves the tourists from the stress and strains of daily mundane life.
2. Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary :
Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is located 10 km from the city of Jamshedpur in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It was inaugurated by Sanjay Gandhi in 1975. It is notable wildlife sanctuary and contains significant population of Indian Elephants.
3. Jubilee Park :
Jubilee Park is a park located in the city of Jamshedpur in India. It is a popular destination for all those who wish to have an outdoor picnic, enjoy some outdoor activities and games or even just to have a relaxing day out with friends and family.
4. Jayanti Sarovar (Jubilee Lake) :
Jayanti Sarovar is situated in the town of Jamshedpur surrounding the Tata Zoological park and theJubilee Park. Its a large water body with a circular path running along the entire length of the lake. Thelake has boating facility which is open all day long at a nominal fee.

The building was designed by Hafeez Contractor and is considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in Jamshedpur. The building was formerly designed as the Jubilee Park. It houses archives of Tata Steel, a brilliant representation of its journey to being one of the biggest and most successful industries in the world.
7. Dimna Lake :
Dimna Lake is an artificial lake in Jamshedpur, which is situated at around 13 km from the city. This lake lies at the foot hills of Dalma Mountain ranges. The Dimna Lake is important for the city, as it serves like a water reservoir for the steel plant and the main drinking water source. This lake is half an hour drive away from the main city and can be visited by a cab or a bus. It is located in the Mirzadih Panchayat of Patamda Block and was constructed by the Tata Steel.
8. Sir Dorabji Tata Park :
Sir Dorabji Tata Park is named in the memory of the eldest son of JRD Tata.The Park has beautiful landscapes , well-kept lawns, exotic flowers and beautifully lit fountains. Every year in the December the park hosts a flower show.
9. Hudco Lake :
Hudco Lake was constructed artificially in the beautiful surroundings of the TELCO Colony. It is situated near a park which also houses an artificial waterfall that uses the water of the lake. The lake and park complex are located on a beautiful hillock and it provides a panoramic view of the entire city. This is an ideal spot for picnics and evening amusements.
10. Tribal Culture Center :
Established in 1990, Tribal Culture Centre aims to preserve and promote indigenous art and culture of Jharkhand. It is located at Jamshedpur, which is 140 km from Ranchi.

We were on the small bridge watching the token exchange with TATA G5s near the BKSC D cabin. I heard the honking of some loco which seemed to be too far, after few minutes honking became louder which was later assisted by the humming sound. I was sure then, that this is the 22824 rajdhani , and yes it was .
Interesting thing was that the train was pulled by the P4 , which matches entirely with the LHB coaches colour, and when you capture a wideangle then its the best combo ever .
Soon as Rajdhani disappeared , Patna bound super coming from hatia showed up with an old WAM4 from mughalsarai 20678 braking for its scheduled halt at bokaro steel city.
Finally when we were having a closer look of the under construction BKSC loco shed, 13319 Baidyanathdham - Ranchi intercity was caught entering BKSC with MGS M4 21337, this train shares rake with 13303/4 Dhanbad-Ranchi Intercity.

City Park || Bokaro Steel City || Botanical Garden
City Park is situated in Sector 3 of the city of Bokaro. The park has an artificial lake, which is thronged by visitors especially on weekends for picnic. The lake also has three Japanese styled artificial islands. There is also a small guest house and a restaurant near the lake, which is visited by tourists coming to the park.
In addition to this, a small beautiful park was opened on 1st January 2007 to further add to the beauty of the City Park. The park also hosts Basant Mela in the month of February every year, attracting several tourists. This park is also used as a venue for the Chhatth Puja, in the month of October or November.
