In this video we explored the far northern province of Cao Bang in Vietnam. We went on a road trip to visit the amazing waterfall called Ban Gioc which lies on the Vietnam/China border. Cao Bang easily has the most spectacular nature that we saw during our entire trip in Vietnam, truly unbelievable! It is crazy that more tourists don't visit this place.

The MOST BEAUTIFUL place in VIETNAM is CAO BANG.
Traveling Far North Vietnam continues with Cao Bang Province's majestic Ban Gioc Waterfalls and one of my favorite caves called Nguom Ngao. Leaving Meo Vac by private car and arriving six hours later to Cao Bang, we didn't have much time to spare. We dropped our bags off at the hotel and got another car to drive us three hours to the caves and the waterfalls which are minutes from each other. I have been dreaming of this moment for a long time. This was one of my most highly anticipated places left in Vietnam to visit. I was in awe at just how natural the cave was without anything too touristy or colorful. It felt like a real dark cave and not an amusement park. The waterfalls are actually used as a natural border with China. Chinese tourists can be seen just across the waterway. At the end of the night we wrapped things up with some northern pho.

Cao Bang province is 272 km north of Hanoi, a province in the Northeast of Vietnam, bordered with China. There are nine ethnic minorities living in this province, including the Tay, Nung, Dao, and H'mong.Famous sites include Thang Then Lake in Tra Linh, Ban Gioc Fall in Trung Khanh, and Ba Be Lake in Ba Be.
Several sites where Uncle Ho lived and worked before the August 1945 Revolution include Pac Bo, Coc Bo Cave, Lenin Stream, and Khuoi Nam Stream.
Ban Gioc Fall is situated in Trung Khanh district in Cao Bang province nears the Sino-Vietnamese border. The echo of the falls can be heard kilometers away from Trung Khanh.
Water from Quy Xuan River falling down on the stone creates water droplets columns that can be seen from a distance. The temperature near the waterfall is remarkably cool, due to the water mist in the air.
Cao Bang, Vietnam
We took a sleeper bus to Cao Bang, slept with a homestay family, explored the waterfall that splits China and Vietnam, and wandered around a limestone cave.

Ban Gioc Waterfall and Nguom Ngao Caves - Vietnam
Today we vistited the Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang province, Northern Vietnam which doubles as the border to China.
This is the 4th largest waterfall on an international border in the world. It's also one of the points in which China attempted to invade Vietnam in 1979.
The waterfall is spectacular and anyone visiting Vietnam should attempt to go there.
We also visited the Nguom Ngao Cave system.
