Chail is a hill station in Himachal Pradesh, India. It is 44 kilometres from Shimla and 45 kilometres from Solan. It is known for its salubrious beauty and virgin forests. The Chail Palace is well known for its architecture: the palace was built as summer retreat by the Maharaja of Patiala during the British Raj, on the land allotted to him by the British for former's assistance in the Anglo-Nepalese War.   • 2. Chail Cricket Ground Chail
    Chail Cricket Ground is a cricket ground located in Chail, Himachal Pradesh. The ground was established in 1893 but Bhupinder Singh Maharaja of Patiala who owned a summer-retreat in Chail, that time the ground was developed. The ground located at 2444 meters above sea level that make highest cricket ground in the world. The ground is surrounded by forest and is used as the school playground by Chail Military School. During school vacations it is also used for Polo. There is a well maintained Basketball court as well as there are goal posts for football.

    The Gurudwara Saheb is a Sikh temple which was established at Chail in 1907. It was constructed by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala. After partition of Punjab, the building was taken over by the government of Himachal Pradesh. Since then, the Department of Art & Culture started looking after the Gurudwara affairs. Due to meager Sikh population in the area and non-patronization by the Chail Military School, the condition of the Gurudwara has deteriorated over the years.
