Cheektowaga is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 88,226. The town is in the north-central part of the county, and is an inner ring suburb. It is the second largest suburb of Buffalo, after the town of Amherst. The town of Cheektowaga contains the village of Sloan and half of the village of Depew. The remainder, outside the villages, is a census-designated place also named Cheektowaga. The town is home to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Erie County's principal airport.Villa Maria College, Empire State College, and the Walden Galleria are in Cheektowaga.

    The Walden Galleria is a shopping mall located in the town of Cheektowaga, a suburb of Buffalo, New York located east of I-90 and New York State Thruway Exit 52 off of Walden Avenue New York State Route 952Q. The Walden Galleria comprises more than 1,600,000 square feet of retail space, with 250 stores on two levels, including a food court and a movie theater. The Galleria has department stores, JCPenney, Macy's, and Lord & Taylor; with additional anchors including Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Forever 21, Old Navy, and a Regal Cinemas multiplex. Sears closed in April 2017 with Kids for Less occupying a portion of the space. The mall is owned and managed by The Pyramid Companies of Syracuse, New York, the same management firm that developed it.
