Church Creek is a town in Dorchester County, Maryland, United States, part of the state's Eastern Shore. The population was 125 at the 2010 census. Church Creek is about 6 mi south of Cambridge. Old Trinity Church is located here. An Anglican brick church built in 1675, it is the oldest church building in the US in continuous ecclesiastical use and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

It commemorates the life of former slave Harriet Tubman, who became an activist in the Underground Railroad prior to the American Civil War. The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Monument was created by President Barack Obama under the Antiquities Act on March 25, 2013. The portion of the monument administered by the National Park Service was later designated a National Historical Park in 2014.

William Penn made the beaches of Cape Henlopen one of the first public lands established in what has become the United States in 1682 with the declaration that Cape Henlopen would be for the usage of the citizens of Lewes and Sussex County. Cape Henlopen State Park has a 24-hour and year-round fishing pier as well as campgrounds. The remainder of the park is only open from sunrise to sunset, and includes a bathhouse on the Atlantic Ocean, an area for surf-fishing, a disc golf course, and bicycle and walking paths. I drove to Annapolis, Maryland early in the morning. I missed the sunrise, but still caught some beautiful morning light and fall foliage. Annapolis is a beautiful city!

Exploring the Abandoned Concrete City in Pennsylvania

A friend told me about this place, so i set out to explore it!

The Concrete City was an early example of International Style architecture in the United States, built as company housing in 1911 for select employees of the Delaware, Lackawana and Western Railroad's coal division in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania. It was eventually taken over by the Glen Alden Coal Company who, uninterested in paying for required improvements and unable to demolish it due to its robust construction, abandoned the property in 1924. It stands to this day, albeit in extreme disrepair. Currently, the site is commonly used by military, police, firefighters and recreational paintball players for staged games.

In 1998, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission declared Concrete City an historic site.
