Cochiti is a census-designated place in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States. A historic pueblo of the Cochiti people, it is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 528 at the 2010 census. Located 22 miles southwest of Santa Fe, the community is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. The Cochiti pueblo people are a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans. Potters of Cochiti and KTewa have made traditional pots for centuries, developing styles for different purposes and expressing deep beliefs in their designs.   • 1. Ghost Ranch Abiquiu
    Ghost Ranch is a 21,000-acre retreat and education center located close to the village of Abiquiú in Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico, United States. It was the home and studio of Georgia O'Keeffe, as well as the subject of many of her paintings. The conference center and lodgings at Ghost Ranch are run by the Presbyterian Church but open to the general public. Ghost Ranch is also known for a remarkable concentration of fossils, most notably that of the theropod dinosaur Coelophysis, of which it has been estimated that nearly a thousand individuals have been preserved in a quarry at Ghost Ranch.
