Falling on the USA and Canadian border tucked just east of Lake Superior is the small but perfectly formed state of Minnesota.

Yep, we stopped at a cemetery. There is so much history there, people who lived a long time ago, and now for a brief second they get attention again. Think of the funerals more than 100 years ago, horse drawn wagon, people gathered around feeling the loss, who were these people, what was their life like back then deep in the South.
The US south is a complex place, no doubt for many the history was one of pain, slavery, wars and the hardship of living where even the weather with heat, hurricanes and floods challenged early settlers.
Beautiful scenery as we left the main interstate and drove some back roads deep in the South.
