As of the 2010 census, the population was 81,405, making it the sixth largest city in the state of Oklahoma.The city limits are located on the northern border of Oklahoma City. Two major highways connect Edmond to downtown Oklahoma City: U.S. Route 77 , which runs through the center of Edmond, and Interstate 35, which runs along the eastern side.
