PART I: Introductory footage of Canadian Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) diesel engines in pairs through the mountainous railway line of the most spectacular Bralos Rail Pass in Greece (Ορεινό Πέρασμα Μπράλου). Engine types: MX627 & MX636, built 1973-1975, totaling 6300 HP !!!

Some facts about the equipment used:

In no case am I associated with any promotion or any products of Sony or Nitecore. The following information is for your reference and hints only. It is obvious that many of you out there may use other cameras, flashlights, etc. according to your needs. Moreover, some of you can create even better quality videos with these products.

1. SONY Action Cam HDR-AS200V

Settings:

- Wi - Fi Live-view remote connection with a Samsung Tablet
- A note from the manual: The Wi-Fi range of the remote control is around 16 feet (5 meters). But the actual distance I found is more than 15 meters. No problem at all!
- Memory Card SanDisk 64 GB microSDXC Class 10
- Cab ride duration: 70 mins. (original file 24,7 GB)
- Battery lasted for 80 mins. at temp. 2-4 C with Wi-Fi On as expected
- Waterproof case supplied was not used. It seems to me that light rain drops and/or snow flakes disappear faster from Zeiss Tessar lens than the w/p case
- Camera was mounted on the top front engine handrail using an adjustable Sony roll bar mount
- Recorded image: XAVC S 50 Mbps - MP4 movie
- Resolution: 1920 x 1080
- Frame rate: 50p.... Next time I may use a frame rate of 25p for more light in the camera, as some experts say!
- Steady shot: On - Field angle: 120
- Color mode: Vivid
- GPS Log: Off
- Wind noise reduction: ON plus 6 layers of paper tape to cover the microphone

2. NITECORE TM28 Tiny Monster

Rechargeable handheld LED flashlight:

- Output: min. 2, low 320, med 1000, high 2300, 4500, turbo 6000 Lumen when using IMR batteries.
- Flashlight was hand-held inside the cab. I used the 2300 lumen mode. My experience: turbo output of 6000 can be used for very long distance with its narrower light beam which, in turn, becomes bluish.
- In any case, at least half of the light power is diffused from behind the window screen and sometimes no good for the driver's eyes. Another reason is, that after a few minutes of use in 'med' to 'turbo' mode, the flashlight becomes over-heated needing a tripod, which is normal.

Generally, I am happy with both my tiny monsters!
