Top Tourist Attractions in Nevada, Most 48 Beautiful Places to travel In Nevada
Nevada (Spanish for blanketed; see elocutions) is a state in the Western, Mountain West, and Southwestern districts of the United States of America. Nevada is the seventh most broad, the 34th most crowded, and the ninth slightest thickly populated of the 50 United States. Almost seventy five percent of Nevada's kin live in Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas–Paradise metropolitan area where three of the state's four biggest fused urban communities are located. Nevada's capital is Carson City. Nevada is authoritatively known as the Silver State as a result of the significance of silver to its history and economy. It is otherwise called the Fight Born State, since it accomplished statehood amid the Civil War (the words Fight Born likewise show up on the state hail); as the Wise brush State, for the local plant of a similar name; and as the Wise hen State. Nevada fringes Oregon toward the northwest, Idaho toward the upper east, California toward the west, Arizona toward the southeast and Utah toward the east. More infomation please look at :

The Loneliest Road in America: Pony Express, Great Basin National Park
U.S. Route 50 stretches over 3,000 miles from Ocean City, Maryland in the east to Sacramento, California in the West. Originally part of the U.S. Highway system created in 1926, it was a major transportation route until the creation of the Interstate Highway system in 1956. In 1986, Life Magazine nicknamed the Nevada portion of Route 50 “The Loneliest Road in America,” noting that it is “America minus tourist traps” with only three small towns in 400 miles of empty desert.
I wanted to experience “The Loneliest Road in America” for myself, so I drove west to east from Carson City to the small town of Baker near the Nevada-Utah border. While it is true that the route is pretty desolate, its winding mountain passes and long, open stretches of desert valleys tell the story of a time in American history dominated by Manifest Destiny, Westward Expansion and a Gold Rush. U.S. Route 50 parallels the iconic Pony Express route and you can visit the remains of a few outpost stations to this day. Just off Route 50 in the east, in between the cities of Ely and Baker, lies the beautiful Great Basin National Park – home to the mesmerizing Lehman Caves.

Ghost Towns - Schellbourne Station Nevada (Ely, White Pine County, NV)
When driving from Wendover to Las Vegas, you pretty much stop at anything you see as there are long open roads for miles with nothing. So we decided to stop by at Schellbourne Station, which is an old Pony Express stop! Check it out!
Schellbourne is an unincorporated community located in White Pine County in Nevada, United States.
Schellbourne was once a Pony Express Station which grew into a mining town of 300. Today it is a very well preserved ghost town on a private ranch.
Schellbourne became a mining camp in 1871 but only after the Schell Creek Station that served both the Pony Express and the Overland Stage both ceased operations thereby eliminating the need for the Schell Creek station. By fall of 1872, Schellbourne had a population of about 100. A townsite was laid out that included five saloons, a Wells-Fargo office, two blacksmith shops, three stores, two restaurants, two lodging houses, and two law firms. During the summer of 1872, the Schellbourne boom reached its peak. Close to 400 residents were crowded onto the flatlands around the old Pony Express station. Schellbourne’s future looked rosy until rich strikes were made at Cherry Creek, directly across Steptoe Valley. This stifled the Schellbourne boom and drained most of its residents. By 1881, Schellbourne still had a population of 85, most of whom were staying in hopes of a revival of the mines. Unfortunately for the town, the early 1880s ended all serious mining activity forcing virtually all the businesses to leave town. Schellbourne has enjoyed a quiet and serene existence for more than a hundred years. While never abandoned, the town hasn’t had more than 25 residents since the early 1900s. Schellbourne is a must see for the ghost town enthusiast.
